does anyone know the reason why 888sport stopped taking bets from Australians in december last year.

several brief notes on the web refer to changes in legislation. but i couldn't find any info on what this was.

Probably something about online betting being offered to/from abroad in Australia. Cause I used to bet at Centrebet before, but they've kicked out customers from Europe or something like that. Guess this is something similar, just the other way around.
