held the lead for 3 1/2 rounds last week in Canada only to lose on the back 9 to Tim Clark's unreal 5 birdies. finished 4th week before @ British Open with final round 7 under 65

Rickie Fowler 20-1
passed on Canada BUT finished tied for 2nd week before @ British Open with final round 5 under 67

Sergio Garcia 25-1
also passed on Canada BUT finished tied for 2nd @ British Open with final round 6 under 66

Matt Kuchar  25-1
played poorly @ British tied for 54th. came back @ Canadian tied for 4th with a final round 5 under 66

Phil Mickelson 30-1
passed on Canada. tied for 23rd in British

Duston Johnson  30-1
did not make the cut @ Canadian BUT played well in British  tied for 12th and had the low round 2nd day with a 7 under 65.

Graeme McDowell  40-1
followed up his tie for 9th @ British with another tie for 9th last week @ Canadian

Bubba Watson  40-1
just because he's Bubba and can win any time he starts on a USA course

Charl Schwartzel 50-1
"The Schwartz" blew up @ Canadian Open tied for 43rd BUT played well at the British week before tied for 7th

Graham DeLaet  60-1
played well @ Canadian Open tied for 7th and shot a 7under 2nd round 63

Tim Clark  80-1
shoots 5 under on back 9 @ Canadian Open to catch and beat Jim Furyk by 1 shot for the win (and hairlip "Papa Ratte")

Ernie Els 125-1
played decent at Canadian Open tied for 12th. did NOT make the cut @ British

Sergio, Phil and Bubba are terrible in this event...

I am laying a bunch on Bubba. Your right if you look at last years 4 day total. But the first two rounds he was right there, then tiger laid the 61 and everybody else was playing for second.

I know Tim Clark is a "stretch" BUT was an impressive back nine to catch and pass Furyk last week at the Canadian

Save your money on Bubba, Phil, Sergio, IMO...to obvious as well

after 1st round the four leaders are Justin Rose, Charl Schwartzel, Ryan Moore and Marc Leishman all @ -5 with the Canadian Graham DeLaet along with Rickie Fowler right behind @ -3. notables Sergio Garcia and Tiger Woods (both -2) and Rory McIlroy, Adam Scott, Jim Furyk and Bubba Watson (all -1) in the top 14.

obviously a LOT of golf left to play BUT gotta like "The Schwartz" bounce back from a very poor Canadian Open and Rose back in the USA and ready to play. DeLaet surprising some people

I was wondering if anyone would "rub AJ's nose in it". NOT cool. it is just his opinion probably based on Sergio's past performance @ Firestone and I respect what he has to say. he also said stay away from Bubba and Phil and THEY are both in an Akron sewer.

besides, the tourney is NOT done yet. Sergio has a 3 shot lead on Rory McIlory going into Sunday and after what happened to me with Jim Furyk last week in Montreal, I am  NOT counting chickens

I'm a golfer and a gambler Wilshasnutz.  Sergio might have been the smartest pick on the board this week and in the upcoming weeks.  Sergio is hot!  Rory is hot too, but his odds won't be that good any time soon.  Especially being a crowd favorite.
