everyone plays everyone once and the winner of that group advances pretty much.

It is like the World Cup and broke up in groups of 4.  Terrible format for golf.

At first I thought it was terrible...but I actually like it.  In a solo sport like golf you can have a bad hour or two and it could ruin an entire tournament in a format like this...having a round robin in the first couple days gives everyone a solid shot and focuses on the guys that are playing great golf

DISAGREE! JORDAN SPEITH WOULD HAVE BEEN FIFTEEN UNDER PAR TIE FOR THE LEAD AND DID NOT MAKE THE QUARTERFINALS............SHAME! TERRIBLE FORMAT IMHO
