Kudos to all the guys who post plays in this forum. I always look at all the matchups and plays, but I very rarely post a play, but when I do...
Thought I'd start chiming in a little bit more often to get some more discussion going in the always awesome golf forum.
I came up with a strategy last week I think I'm gonna follow, so I'll throw it out to the forum for a little fun discussion.
I was talking to my buddy, and we have decided that we are going to fade Dustin Johnson every Sunday unless he's in the lead.
Last week we played Bubba against him... strategy is 1-0.
The theory is this: Dustin isn't clutch, and has a hard time closing out in tough spots, and coming from behind. And when he is behind he doesn't really give a f*ck, and has tons of money, the hottest wife on tour, and he's just anxious to get on his private jet to party on the way back home, and I can't blame him. He just doesn't seem very motivated on Sundays unless he's in the lead. It just feels like him (and Sergio) are terrible on Sundays. So every tournament...fade Dustin on Sunday. I'm going to do that and keep track of the record throughout the year. We'll see how it goes.
Also, this week I have a couple of plays I'm interested in...thoughts appreciated.
Freddie Jacobson +105 over Keegan
Adam Hadwin -120 over Boo Weekley
Hadwin has made the cut the last 6 tournaments. I like the form he's in. Boo has a top 5 finish and before that 3 MC. Boo has also missed the cut 3 out of the last 5 tournaments here.
Jacobson missed the cut last week, but he's been pretty solid this year. I think last week was the exception. I like the value of him over Keegan who's kind of been a mess so far.
Thoughts appreciated, and no...a higher power did not speak to me on these plays. I'll let you know when he does.
