i have been fortunate to have won betting golf for each of the last 4 years. i abide by the following rules:
1. don't bet much money. there are usually 150+ players each week. probably 80% have a chance to win. if you play $50 for the weekend and lose you will not be looking for the nearest cliff!
2. don't bet favorites (under 20/1). they only win 15% of the time.
3. don't bet top 5, top 10 or first round leader. odds are low and ties kill you.
if you win 1 tournament every 2 months you will be a big winner! it is fun betting this way and not stressful.
note: i have found that favorites odds go down and longshots odds go up as the 1st tee time approaches.

Kristoffer Broberg @ 60-1 (@ William-Hill, their typical "shave") COULD do the B2B. he sure looked composed the last two rounds last week for the WIN @ 150-1 (@ Westgate)
I SO much want to bet Lucas Bjerregaard @ 40-1 and Thongchai Jaidee @ 40-1. BOTH were "wicked close" last week BUT naturally anyone I BET ON could NOT finish in the final round. Jaidee's birdie putt on #18 to get into the playoff was WAY lame. short, right? should have just rammed it on line
think the "SoCal Loco" high odds this week could be Eddie Pepperell @ 125-1, Fabrizio Zanotti @ 125-1 and Max Kieffer @ 150-1

amazing tourney for Rory McIlroy. I stayed up late to watch him and Andy Sullivan fight it out final round. Andy had an excellent tourney BUT couldn't keep up with Rory Sunday. had a chance when McIlroy drowned his tee shot on the par 3 17th water hole. Andy with a makeable putt and Rory on in 3 putting 4. Andy MISS and Rory MAKES to keep a 1 shot lead to #18. both par and Rory WINS.
look out tour, He's BACK!!!
