3rd_and_Long, Do you really consider beating ONLY the Eagles from NFC East by 4 points destroying the Division?? They did not play any other team from NFC East this year. But keep in mind Washington played them each twice and finished @ .500 aganist their rivals SU......Meanwhile the Hawks played patsy in the weak NFC West ....Arizona, SF and St Louis (scary)...and played aganist another weak division (NFC South) where they were beaten by Atlanta, Carolina and New Orleans and only beat the Buc's because Gruden was bring in a whole new squad and the Buc's do not travel cross country well.
Welcome!

Welcome!
There is a lot of buzz surrounding the hot Redskins right now as they closed the season with four straight wins to earn the final Wildcard slot. Todd Collins has performed way above expectations but the Seattle defensive line is about as good as it gets. Pat Kerney and Julian Peterson are going to be in Collins' grill all game. Marcus Trufant is an excellent corner, and he should have no problem containing Santana Moss. The Skins will be forced to run the ball a lot with Clinton Portis, chewing up the clock. The Seahawks allow just 18.2 ppg, which is less than 2 points per game away from the NFL leading Colts. At home they allowed just 13.9 ppg! Washington brings in a great defense that gave up just 19.4 ppg this season and 14.8 ppg over their last six. These teams don't dominate with their offenses. The weather will be a factor for this one, as the forecast calls for rainy and windy conditions. That will hold the score down. Seattle has played three of their last four home playoff games UNDER. On the season, Washington is 5-3 UNDER on the road while Seattle is 5-3 UNDER at home. Under Joe Gibbs, the Redskins are 40-22 UNDER vs. conference opponents, 19-9 UNDER as a road underdog and 9-1 UNDER on the road to a total in the 38.5 to 42 range. I LOVE the UNDER in this game!

I'll go one at a time -
Chicago - that offense sucks bad enough without having to go to a backup QB in the second quarter, and the Skins still struggled to pull that one out.
Giants game - bad weather, very windy, Giants could not stretch the field. Not hard to defend the Giants without Eli throwing bombs in case you haven't noticed.
Minnesota - Tavaris Jackson, enough said. AP was horrible the last month of the season, not the same since injury, so save it.
Dallas - No TO, and how hard do you really think the Cowboys were playing in that one?
I had the Skins in their last three, larger than normal against Minny & Dallas. Wagering is all about perception. A month ago people were talking about firing Gibbs, and now people are standing in line to bet Todd Collins on the road in one of the most hostile stadiums in the NFL. Good luck with that.
Seattle has realistically been in the playoffs since around week 10, and they have been doing nothing but fine tuning their team for the postseason while the Redskins have shot their wad just trying to get a wild card. When Alexander has 80-100 yards and two TD's tomorrow don't be shocked, I know I won't be.

This is very deja vu. Feels like 2005-2006 when Washington won the last 5 games of the season, including wins over Dallas, Philadelphia and New York, to make the playoffs. They pulled off a win on the road at Tampa Bay as a one point dog then lost by ten in Seattle.
I'm with 3rd and Long...not afraid of the hook here. Seattle should cover the "feel good story".

screw the 12th man areyou serious. that 12th man plays a vital role in this game. portis said in an interview the other day that you can't hear yourself talk let alone anyone else when playing in seattle. that can screw your whole chemistry up. receivers not hearing audibles, running the wrong routes, penalties,etc...which then leads to frustration which leads to self destruction. you have a decent qb in for wash. but i don't think he is capable of trully handling that kind of pressure yet. it's one thing to get to the play-offs its another thing playing in it. i like wash. and cheering for them but i have to put my money on sea and the under.
