OK, went to high school with Hasselback and have to like him @ home. Im going with Hawks by a field goal and the total over.

Very well said my friend....probably the EASIEST of the playoff picks this weekend for me.  Seattle is probably the hardest stadium to play in.  The Redskins have a quarterback who has started 3 games in 10 years, been sitting around rusting on the bench most of that time.  Yes the Skins have been playing on raw emotion, and it is a great story how they came back and made the playoffs through all they have been through.  It's playoff time now, the better team wins. 
 
The Hawks had one home loss this season, in Week 6 against the Saints, where they just did not show up to play.  Don't give me this crap that they played a weak schedule, they play the teams that are on their schedule, and they beat them.  Is it their fault that the Rams were decimated by injuries? No.  Was it their fault the 49ers and Cardinals still haven't lived up to the preseason hype? No. Joe Gibbs is clearly not the coach you want in the postseason these days, sure  he has a great record, but that was 20 years ago!!  Mike Holmgren is a playoff tested coach who knows how to win big late in the season, same with Alexander and Hasselbeck.  Don't let all the stories blind you from the truth behind this game!!

the streak ends for the skins here i love the way seattle plays at home they are an entirely different team at qwest field and the noise there is unbelieveable, washington will struggle and the flags will fly all day becasue of false starts , seattle will win this game by spreading the ball around i look for deion branch to have a huge game , seahawks take an early lead in this one and win it 34-17 GO HAWKS GO!

Load up the box on Portis.  Tatapu or Peterson hold down Sideshow Cooly.  Todd Collins, meet Marcus Trufant.   Steady dose of Alexander and Morris w/ play action to Engram, Burelson, Hackett (and Branch?).  Recipe for $ in my pocket.
 
Washington has been a nice story but likely ends today.
Feeling Pitt comes together too.   Not sold on Garrard and Jax is out a strong LB.  Najeh pounds, Washington/Holmes burn deep.

weather should be a factor in this game rain and winds up to 15-20 mph...this could hurt the seattle passing game and come down to who has the superior running game....id rather have portis over alexander/morris and that O-line...which is clearly not what it has been the past 3 seasons...Washington D will keep this game close....say what you want about the Qwest 12th man...Washington will have their own 12th man roaming their sidelines and his name is Taylor.....emotions and motivation can go a long way...hence these bowl games...im taking the points in this matchup and crappy weather....get this line at 3.5 before it goes down to 3...

Weather isn't going to be a factor. It isn't even windy here a little east of seattle and the weather report said that things will be calm by the afternoon. The sun is actually breaking through the clouds as I write this.

Todd Collins is a joke at qb. The redskins have really not played anybody in their last few games. Collins was a back up for 10 years for a reason. He is not the messiah for the redskins. Hawks will put a hell of a lot of pressure on Collins and he will throw atleast 2 ints and possibly fumble the ball in the rainy conditions. The 12th man will get into Collin's head and will cause multiple false starts. Hawks -3.5

Coach Gibbs coaching in the play-offs is your answer.   They  love to play on the road and being the dawgs.  I think this is the best bet of the season.  ML only + 145???????????    That ought to tell you something when Seattle is 3.5 favorites.  Watch the ML drop before game time.

Coach Gibbs' playoff record is skewed because he coached IN THE 80'S!!!  Does anybody else realize that he hasn't done a single thing this year to win a game, but done many many things to lose games?? (See game vs. Buffalo).  Just use this as a betting guide:
 
Seattle:
1. Division Champion
2. 7-1 at home this year
3. Qwest field might be hardest place to play in NFL
4. Seattle was in Super Bowl two years ago with essentially same team
5. Solid running game and solid defense
 
Washington:
1. Todd Collins starting quarterback...1st start in playoffs
2. Only 2 qb's have won 1st playoff start (Delhomme and Big Ben...both at home)
3. Joe Gibbs has found ways to lose games this year
4. How long can emotion carry you?
5. Shut down Portis...they have no shot
