Just don't see the Panthers wining this game, sorry but that's just me. LOL Yes the Panthers are good at home but the Eagles are the better team this year, Eagles by 6 !!

I live in Carolina and have seen them go good year/bad year on an eerily consistent schedule. Last year was pretty good. Eagles has lots of questions also but Carolina looks like it has issues. The team president (owners son) just quit last week and two other team employess quit. Beason will start slow after the injury and Delhomme has looked like the player from the Zona game all preseason. I think the team is in dissaray after the Peppers debacle in the offseason. Fox is looking worn out from the drama...but hey, I picked the Chargers in game one last year as well.

Eagles tend to get burned on Big Plays. They won't be able to fully stop Carolina's crazy backs, but if they can slow them down, then I expect the Eagles offense to outplay Carolina's Defense.
Akers needs to make all his field goals here, because of the Eagles struggles in the Redzone.
The Eagles secondary looks horrible, but the Panthers run stoppers look ever worse.
Quentin Demps is being benched in favor of Rookie safety Macho Harris -- I personally like this move, because I never thought Q. Demps was all that anyway. Quinten Mikell should start making his name known around the league without living under Brian Dawkins' shadow now; we'll find out tomorrow.
McNabb typically plays better when challenged or being butchered by the media. Everyone says the pressure is on McNabb, but I think he has a big game here and shows off his retooled offense. D.Jack evolves to become the Eagles true #1 receiver the city has been yearning for.
As an Eagles fan, I'm trying to be as un-biased as possible so I predict Eagles squeaking out a victory on an Akers field goal.

Brilliant. You are correct sir. In the McNabb era, the Phils usually finish strong not start strong. Carolina large.

I'd have more confidence if Vick gave the Eagles more offensive options. McNabb is so unreliable its crazy. He will either throw for 500 yards or throw 20 balls in the dirt 2 yards behind his receivers. That is enough for me to take Carolina as the home dog, small play. There are better games out there.

I like the Birds and the over here......Philly didn't show much in the preseason, they never do. As a matter of fact they always have a losing preseason record or go 2-2........I expect them to play very well today.......but the defense isn't as stout this year and I think they will be involved with a lot of overs in the first few weeks til Vegas figures that out.
