New York still has some talent on the team. I hope they still have a little pride as well. I can't see Nick Mullens doing what he did against Oakland against NY's ninth ranked pass defense. Hopefully, the week off has energized a very down Giant's team.

What a week. I said on the Car/Pitt thread it would be a tough week after Vegas lost so much last week. Every single game, besides New Orleans, GB, & Chicago was a bust. New England, ATL, TB, NYJ, and Philly were all favored and lost s/u.
I'm sticking with the Giants, maybe they can win s/u.

I cant pick a side in this one as the NFL this week has definetly been a dog week and as soon as I pick a dog the favorite will cover. I like the Over in this one. The Giants are coming off a bye week and have had plenty of time to prepare for this one. I really dont see them winning this one on the road but I do see them battling it out to the end and puting up 2 or 3 TD's. The 49ers on the other hand has seem to be getting in a groove and playing some football. With it being a Monday night game at home the 49er's will continue to put up points in this one like they did in the Raiders game.

Originally, when I capped this game earlier in the week, the 49er's looked to be "head and shoulders" above this Giants team. And I still feel pretty confident in my wager. Statisticallly, the ' 9 ers have it all over this team. In fact, I feel the 49ers should cover this very comfortably. I'm not worried that the G-Men are rested, as they have a poor history of playing well after byes. Monday night "prime time" (on the road) is equally horrible! How good can this team be, being coached by ex- Cleveland Browns HC Pat Schurmer?!! After losing 5 straight games- the haven't won since the end of September. It appears the HC makes very poor decisions. The team plays like they are desperate, and many of them have given up. some players are throwing "hissy fits" on the sidelines. Eli is experienced , but past his prime. Some games, Manning looks "like a deer caught in the headlights"!!! The niners have been decimated by injuries, but haven't quit. the have a decent rushing game, and can play some "D". Still, the Niners have a nasty TO problem. I don't like betting chalk, unless it was "Iron-Clad" teams like the Packers and Steelers this past week! After further capping, and because the 49 ers have some flaws, if you follow me- DON'T BET HEAVY. I don't chase bad bets, but my advice is:

i've bet the giants almost every game this year, 3-5 ats, thinking at some point they would start playing at least mediocre football...but no. they are bad. their o-line is the worst. can't pass block, can't run block. with that said, the o-line will be as good as this piese of shit can be tonight with the addition of a rams guard waiver pick up. he can't be any worse than what they had, can he?
any thoughts that the giants will be ready because they are coming off a bye week should be quickly forgotten. they are just as bad coming off byes as they are going into a bye. this is a team that regularly has delay of game penalties coming out of a time out!
the 49ers are just as bad. they have a c-rate rookie starting for them tonight. in his 2nd game. looked good against a team, oakland who is in full tank mode for the #1 pick in next years draft. the giants are and should also be tanking for that #1 pick as they are currently tied with oakland for it.
this may very well be eli's last game as the starter for the giants. that should be good enough for some field goal drives! i'm betting that the 49er's struggle to get points tonight.
