Due to the storm we had here in Hawaii the internet service has been down in some areas of Maui since mid Monday morning.
Just got mine back up and trying to find some things on this game.
Was kinda glad it was down cause as soon it came back up I found some idiot named Ingwca on the MNF thread trying to start crap with me for some unknown F@king reason.
Just don't understand some people as of last week Thursday thru Sunday I went 6-0 and still get crap about it. Just because I did not want to touch the Saints/Falcons game Give me a Fu%#'n break idiot!
Forgot to add on top of that he brings in my good friend Lefty into it just because he was laying off that MNF as well.
FYI It's idiot's like that that made Lefty, Fishnaked, and myself leave this sight for a while. This site is at no loss without me but Lefty & Fish brings good info to this site and you guys would definitely miss both of them.

Leaning toward Denver. Sage will have a difficult time throwing on Champ and Co. in the 2ndary. Houston's 2ndary is suspect, and I believe Brandon Marshall will have a huge day on national TV. He is chomping at the bit to break-out and be a household name. The match up just doesn't show me that Houston will be able to beat Denver.

Hey braddah BD, how was that storm last week huh? Power and internet was spotty here as well...I know Maui got hit bad, glad all is good...
I hope my Broncos pull it off but it will be pretty tough against Houston. They haven't played very well on the road but the team is getting more consistent and Marshall wants to break it big. Houston secondary not playing very impressive but neither is the Broncos. Leaning towards the over at 47. GL All

At first glance, Denver was my pick because Schaub is out. Upon further review, I think the AFC south is stronger than the AFC west. Houston (last placy AFC south) beat Tampa Bay (1st place NFC south) last week.

This game is a classic game of people reading too much into numbers and trends but not focusing on the 2 teams themselves.
I know Denver is 2-4 on the road and 1-5 ATS and Houston is 4-2 at home and figures since Denver's last road win in 4 games is against KC, people on this forum have taken Houston...
But, you have to look at the situation. Sage Rosenfels is starting his 2nd str8 game and yes, they won last week but in the NFL, when a backup comes in the first game, they usually do well b/c coordinators can not get a grip on their tendencies but they struggle as time moves on....
Furthermore, what does Houston do best? Pass the football. Ron Dayne stinks as a RB and Houston as a team is not great at running the football. On the other hand, Denver can stop the pass with their 2 CBs (Bly and Bailey) and these two will lock up on the Houston WRs all night and I think they will shut them down.....
Now Denver has always been notorious for running the football, and Houston gives up 118 yards/gm on the ground.....and with Travis Henry back I just see this game as a mismatch in terms of philosophies....

As I said in the thread last week with Tampa and Houston...I can't pick Houston for crap....but it's not stopping me from laying some money down on this one. IMO Houston looked better vs. Tampa Bay than Denver looked against Kansas City. As far as Denver being on fire as Byabeach said up above...they lost the two games prior to last week, so that's certainly not anything big. Sage Rosenfels gives this team a little more explosiveness over Matt Schaub and I just think Denver had an epiphany last week. Ball control running game here...take the under as well. Houston +1.5 and UNDER 47.5

This game reminds me of last weeks San Diego/Tennessee game. It was a pick and 90% of the public (Denver liked by 87% of the public right now), not to mention 90% of this sites thread, was on San Diego. In fact, all of those people predicted a score of around 26-16 or so. I think their were maybe 3 people that liked Tennessee. As we all know, Tennessee outplayed the Chargers all game (I realize Rivers went down) and in the last minute of the game the Chargers backed Tennessee down into a corner, scored the game tying TD, and of course LT won the game in OT. My point is, if a game looks too good to be true, especially a pick 'em, it probably is. One of those teams being one that just DESTROYED their last opponent. So just be careful jumping on that easy "pick".

2) I am taking an under dog (Like them Dawgs) Public=favorite
3) The AFC in my professional gambler's opinion is much stronget than the shaky any given Sunday NFC Clubs.
4) Cutler reminds me of Bret Favre
5) Thursday night football produces crazy unpredictable crap like the Dog covers.
6) Broncos are clearly the better more seasoned club with Lynch in the line-up. He is a true leader for the defence. They would have had a few more wins if not for his earlier season injury.
7) It's what my gut is telling me not what Joe Blow on her enuciating some BS stats.

Houston is an passing team, meaning Rosenfels will take risks w/ RB Ron Dayne out (exactly, who?)Sage Rosenfels threw 3 picks against 8th ranked pass D Tennessee. Denver is 7th allowing only an avg 195 passing yds pg: I expect to see a at least 1 defensive TD/pick from Baily to tie some records.
Take note that Stokley and J. Walker are questionable game-time decisions. Broncos still have a strong running game and i expect to see Young/Henry run all over Houston who is ranked 23rd in rush D (just above KC) and is allowing more than 118 rushing yards pg. If you've ever seen Selvin Young run, you know what I mean.
Shanahan knows Andre Johnson is Houston's only weapon (he MADE Gary Kubiak). THey will definitely limit him with Champ/Bly. Outside of all this, if you've watched both teams play, Houston is not a team to be laying points w/o starting QB (Rosenfels doesn't have me sold).
