Game goes OVER. Washington only scored 2 points in the last 4:38 of the fourth quarter. 2 pts! This doesn't happen again. The first game jitters are gone and with only one day off in between, these teams come out ready to battle. I also like the over in the first half of 91.5. That's not a lot of points for a half with the Wiz. It should be a tough, close game and therefore I won't take a side (my heart is with the Wiz, so I can't play a side), but the total looks nice. Big games for both my Wizards and Caps tonight!

Washington outscored Cleveland by 5 points (24-19) in the 1stQ in game 1 and I expect the same in game 2. Washington knows their going to have to come out fast and strong to win this, strike early and often attitude..... I like Washington +0.5 in Q1.

go bet the Suns (+165) and Mavs (+195) to win their series... the value on them is great right now... if you just want 1, then it's the Suns... it's hard to recommend it, since the Suns most noteworthy attribute seems to be their ability to find new ways to lose a game...
maybe on the suns, but even then the defending champs with homecourt are just big game players, timmy for 3? The suns have to feel something impossible about beating them, last year it was the horry thing that killed the suns, who knows if something will happen this year? Still though, it might be worth a small play with that value.
As for the Mavs, people can keep acting like Dirk has heart and that the Mavs aren't choke artists, but all I know is that CP3 is for real and there's no way he lets his team get beat by an inferior all around squad, just because of "experience". Maybe in a 4-5 match up, but the hornets (with the lakers) are the class of the west, and dismissing them first round against a team that a lot of people wrote off when dirk was out for a few games is way too premature in my opinion. Well good luck though, I'll be putting my money down on the hornets, so hopefully you catch the suns and not the mavs i guess

I have the Cavs to win this series at -166, dropped $250 on that. I thought it was more straight forward than i do now. Seems like i will be sweating for the next week. Should i have much to worry about? The Cavs have owned the Wiz in the reg season... and the last few playoffs. What do you think?

actually, this is pretty much just standard procedure in the NBA playoffs, especially in series people think will be hotly contested (i.e. wiz/cavs, suns/spurs, mavs/hornets)... all 3 road teams lost but all 3 pointspreads came down... it is because these series are expected to be 1-1 after 2 games... no conspiracy here...
that said, the only pick that makes sense in game 2 is Wash, unless of course Arenas really is hurt...
however, my real reason for posting is to tell people to go bet the Suns (+165) and Mavs (+195) to win their series... the value on them is great right now... if you just want 1, then it's the Suns... it's hard to recommend it, since the Suns most noteworthy attribute seems to be their ability to find new ways to lose a game... but from a value point you have to take it... they dominated game 1 (as expected) and only lost due to countless bonehead plays down the stretch... i expect them to build a VERY big lead in the 3rd quarter and not blow it this time... that puts the series at 1-1, giving you +165 on the team holding home court...

I'll take the Wiz even without Arenas. Watched them all year and if you ask me the reason they lost the first one was because Arenas was pumping up too many of his own shots at the end and the team wasn't used to him. Down the stretch Butler has been the go to guy and if they had went to him in the last few minutes or even Jamison instead of Gilbert they might have won. So I don't think Arenas missing will hurt them too much even on the Over, they've been playing really well without him and Stevenson and Mason are great guards and will pick up the slack.

Dirk was not the problem against the Hornets. Avery Johnson got schooled again and couldn't adjust. He tries to get them to grind it out and blames the team when they don't score after running the shot clock down. Avery has lost this team. Their only hope is for Cuban to tape Avery's mouth shut and let Kidd and Dirk run the team.

Yes, Avery Johnson is a clown at the very least. Why he is considered a good coach I will never know. The Mavs lack toughness and that comes directly from the head coach.
He is trying to slow a team down that really wants to run.
