the first 3 games of the conference finals were easier to cap than this one.  I've hit all 3 sides correctly so far and am looking for number 4 tonight.  

I believe this game is tough to cap because of the public percentages.  Don't take into account what the covers.com betting percentages say.  They only take into account a few thousand picks.  There are better sites if you use google and search for "public betting percentages" you can find some sites that take into account tens or hundreds of thousands of bets.  My site is showing 50/50 even split for spurs and lakers tonight and i've never seen that. 

Anyways, since I can't fade the public tonight, I have to go with my lean.  My lean is towards the Lakers -6.5 tonight.  Everybody likes to blame the Spurs game 1 loss on them being tired.  This is probably true.  I think they were tired.  However, they've looked more tired to me as the playoffs have gone on.  Let's remember what happened in just about every away game against the Hornets.  Spurs would come out strong in the first half and take a lead into the half.  Those leads would quickly be gone in the 3rd quarter and New Orleans ended up blowing them out 20 or so on more than one occasion.   As the game wore on the Spurs weren't able to produce on the offense end.  The way I see it, the reason they struggle on offense late is because of their defense.  They spend too much energy containing guys like Chris Paul and David West last series, and guys like Kobe and Lamar in this series. 

The Lakers can run and gun just like the Hornets.  They have the three point shooting, they have the youth, and they have the best player in the world.  A young and very talented Utah Jazz team tried NUMEROUS times to steal a game in L.A. and came up short every time.  The spurs could have EASILY taken a game in L.A. and they blew it BIG TIME.  I see NO POSSIBLE WAY the spurs win this game straight up tonight.  There is an outside chance at a back door cover with the spread being at 6.5 like it is so I'll just buy the half point to -6 and take the Lakers tonight.

I don't know who to listin to anymore. Majority of people went with the Celitcs lastnight, like it looks like were doing tonight with the Lakers. I now know that Kobe uses the 1st Half to sit back and read the D so 1st Half lines are deadly. I hate betting against the World Champs, but I truly do belive that the Lakers know they have to defend home court in this series. Phil will get Kobe's troops ready for tonights challenge. So I'm going with Lakers -6.5. GL to all.

THANK YOU!! I totally agree. You know, Packersbackers try worrying about YOU! This crap "gets dragged out" because you can't seem to let it die and want to do covers.com job for them. Not your problem nor is it your business who follows who and for whatever reason that person follows whatever person they choose to follow.

I have been at covers for a long time and just recently created my account. I usually stay away from the forums because of people like you who think they run this place. Post your plays and your opinions of your plays as it is appreciated.

Stop worrying about things you cannot control and leave that to those who can. Follow the advice you seem so willing to try to get others to do.

My apologies to all for speaking on this subject that would not have even started if not for the constant rehashing the some insist must continue.

As for the topic of this forum!!!! I will be playing the Lakers!

He gets away with disrupting and wasting peoples time because hes the only one that complains. Don't voice your concerns in here tell it to who counts. I set it up if you'all don't use it then you have no one to balme but yourselves from now on.
