NIGHTRIDA WE NEED YA HERE MAN ........WE NEED THAT SOLID OVER/UNDER PICK ANALYSIS FROM YOU......YOU ARE A TRU HANDICAPPA MY BROTHER
PB, is it me or does it seem like you're not a very popular dude here in the game threads. Having seen what happened to ZigZack yesterday, I proposed anyone that still communicates with "You know who" please post their picks as picks from "You know who". No need to state their name/names. We'll know who you meant.
Do you think Covers will ban me now for saying this?

Listen, can we all just grow up for a minute and focus on capping some f'n games?
It’s 100% true that PB wastes 100% of his time looking to
get people he doesn’t like in trouble and that he has the social security of a
7th grade female.It’s a
fact.However, it’s also a fact that
CK/Styles was consistently breaking rules on the board.Did anyone else find it ironic that every time
he lost a play, the board was unusually quiet, but every time he won, there
were 15-20 aliases heaping praise on him?Give me a break. As a criminal
defense attorney, I can tell you that sometimes you just have losing cases, and
in this case, CK was a losing case.Yes
he had good handicapping skills.Yes PB
hated the fact that people followed him blindly.Yes he broke the rules. Yes he continues to penetrate the board with
10-15 aliases. He is gone. Move on!
You people are wasting your time with childish banter.Let’s get back to capping our own games, providing
our own analysis, and making some f’n dough!!!
If you really rely so much on the words of one capper, GO
BUY SOME PICKS!
for some people it's not about merely blindly tailing somebody's picks it's about reading people's thoughts, opinions, line readings and break downs. It helps some people in making their own picks not necessarily to tail.
I for one am an amateur better and still learning, it helps to have good cappers around to see if i am making correct decisions, not if i am making the right picks but more so doing the right things to make those winning picks and not make any stupid mistakes.
People like nighridah & bator for example who continue to post winners are an asset to all of us because they help us to get better with their insites, not to mention make consistent profits, which is what this forum is all about isn't it?
There are some people here who do blindly tail i am sure but they don't comprise the whole forum. So when people keep saying "CAP YOUR OWN GAMES" it's not really in context of anything because alot of us are smart enough not to blindly tail others. Good cappers allow us to gain their insites and share their logic and most of all their information which in turn helps us further to cap our own games!!
my 2 cents

Normally I would tease as I did in the last game and won by a point taking the lakers.
But,I honestly believe that the lakers+Phil Jackson will not make the same mistakes. SA had there chance to steal one.I understand there the champs but there is also playoff/Championship experience on the lakers.Look for KOBE to be more aggressive the first half this game. Also look at it this way If lakers run and gun while keeping SA Un-Balanced its a definite Under,Possibly a blowout. If SA controls the tempo Its a definite Under,The only way this game is a over is if SA runs and keeps up with a faster paced Lakers. If the lakers 1st half is anything like the 2nd half of last game it will be a double digit win for Lakers...Just my opinion,Please don't cut my head off! GL

packersdaddy, my mistake. is that a picture of your lady on your avatar?
Whoever she is, she has some nice boobies, and with those tight ass jeans I wish she'd turn around and show me her nice fat backside. Man, I'm severely turned on by her. Is that what all the women in Wisconsin look like? Cheese - it's what's for dinner!
...or wait, is that a dude?

The Lakers chose not to double-team Duncan in Game One and paid for it big time. For starters, when the Big Fundamental is on, he's unguardable one-on-one. Rony Turiaf gives it his best shot but Duncan is arguably, the BEST power forward in the history of the league.
Additionally, for the first 2 and 1/2 quarters, Gasol and Fisher could NOT deal with the Parker / Duncan high pick and roll. Fisher is just too slow to get around the screen and Pau couldn't seem to figure out how to deal with it spacially. When Coach Philip inserted Sasha into the game on Ginobli he was able to fade over and help shut it down. Sasha played excellent defense and was ultimately a huge factor in the Laker victory with some key steals down the stretch.
It'll be interesting to see how the Spurs counter. There's one theory that they'll move the ball around on the perimeter much more to get open looks for Ginobli, Horry, Bowen and Ime.
This might be especially beneficial because the Lakers are going to begin using some double teams on Duncan more often in this game, according to Kurt Rambis.
I think a big key to the Spurs success rests firmly on the rapidly balding pate of the aforementioned Manu Ginobli, who had played 41 minutes in game 7 against the Hornets and tweaked his ankle again at some point the other night in Game one. He's got to be feeling better tonight and if the defensive focus moves away from him, you know he'll make the Lakers pay if that ankle's ok.
At that point it'll be up to the MVP to play lock down D on him if he can, but the Spurs have many other weapons to counter with.
The Laker offense, on the whole, can't possibly play worse than they did in game one. We all know that the MVP single-handedly put the offense on his back late in the game. We can definately look for him to be more aggressive in the first half tonight, and for the rest of the offense to get a little more comfortable. Yes, the Spurs are an incredible defensive team and they must be given some credit, but Lamar missed about 5 lay-ups, some of them uncontested, and some of the younger Lakers won't be so overwhelmed by the scope of this game as they were the other night. And I think Lamar could be the key player on the Laker offensive end because the Spurs really don't have anyone to match up with him. Oberto is much to slow, the guards are obviously too small, and Duncan has to stay with Gasol.
The Spurs didn't practice again yesterday, choosing rest and film study instead, which is interesting because it means that they haven't actually practiced this week.
Will it matter?
I think absolutely not. The average age on that team is 33. The average number of shared championships . . . close to 4 right? I think rest is probably more important at this point.
And as for their emotional reaction to blowing a 20 point lead, yes, it's gotta' be disappointing . . . for about 25 minutes, and then it's over. It was a missed opportunity to steal game one. Big Deal. They've still got 4 championship banners hangin' up back in the Alamodome.
The Spurs have said that want to speed this game up tonight, which, obviously, is a style the Lakers can roll with, so I'm looking for a close, high-scoring game in which the Spurs continue to find ways to execute on offense, and the Lakers play much better on offensive end in the first half than they did in Game One.
As for the spread, the books know that the public will overpay for the Lakers. Yes, I think the Lakers routinelycould cover, but honestly, 6 and 1/2 points? . . . is a lot of points to give the champions in light of the game we watched the other night.
Like Game One, this game could easily go either way, so truth be told
I'll probably lay off the spread and just
bet the over 193
Good luck all
PS to Pronk . . . did you hit those horseys the other weekend?
And is Big Brown a lock to bring home the triple crown?

Some thoughts on the X's and O's
The Spurs played like Champions the other night

Champion is champion. You can never underestimate them. They were close to steal a win in Game 1 but missed the chance, now back to the court again to try GAME 2!
Spurs straight win!

word on the street also claims 'she' had the UNDER, and i'm sure you 'laid off' that one (only off by 28 points, nail bitter)
hope you buy some courage at your local walmart and start capping your own games.
regarding the lakers, look for this series to be a carbon copy of the phx/spurs series...remember the suns losing a similar game 1 and just crumbled...LAKERS -6.5 is the larger play here, with a smaller wager on the UNDER 193.5 with the Spurs too offensively challenged on the road
first of all you take posting way to serious, this is supposed to help other people out not ban them from it. you need a real hobby maybe you should buy one at your local walmart
if your going to attack on styles picks i might attack yours nice call on the under for houston vs philly yesterday luckily for me i did the exact opposite of what you said. good call on the total score of 5 too reall nailbitter with a total of 12 runs
hey packersbackers you know using common courtesy is a rule too and i dont think your using much of it

The one thing the Spurs did in Game 1 was that they showed they can dictate the tempo of the game against the Lakers. I'll take the Spurs 9 out of 10 times against the Lakers in a slow paced defensive matchup. In Game 1 the Spurs did a great job of defending the 3 and forcing the Lakers to settle for 2 point jumpshots. I love the matchup in the middle between Duncan and Gasol. Gasol can't defend Duncan and the Spurs will exploit this mismatch again tonight. Duncan put up 30 points and 18 rebounds last game and I think his numbers will improve tonight. Manu Ginobili couldn't buy a bucket in Game 1. He only shot 3-13, but his numbers will pick up tonight. He's a very solid player who won't have 2 bad shooting nights in a row. As a team the Spurs missed 21 of 24 shots in the 4th quarter. This bad shooting doesn't happen again tonight. The Spurs will also look to limit Kobe's shots much like they did during the first half of the Game 1. Kobe only scored 2 points in the first half, but then added 25 more points after half time. The Spurs showed they can contain him, so look for more tough D on Kobe tonight that lasts the whole game and not just the first half. The Champs know about winning in the playoffs and they don't want to go down 2-0 to the Lakers. They either win this game or keep it very close. I can't see the Lakers covering this spread.
I have 4 units on this play.
Best of Luck to Everybody!
