if u know anything about basketball....then u know it comes down to MATCHUPS between opponents when winning the game....looking back at the det/philly series, philly matched up better with detroit than orlando will.....for detroit, it starts with their leader BILLUPS....whenever billups dont perform well ,detroit struggles......and ANDRE MILLER was a damn good match-up for billups.....but Billups will DOMINATE the guards for orlando....EASY....
earlier this year, orlando beat the pistons 103-85 in detroit and stopped what would have been their 11th straight win....but that win was a fluke....becuz that was the first game after the all-star break.....which 3 starters for detroit, compared to 1 in orlando played in the all-star game.....too much partying in N.O. will fuck up the momentum for a team like detroit.....
this a different season now....and orlando to me is outmatched against the pistons....HOWARD will get his points....but whoever PRINCE guards will be shut the fuck down......but the X-FACTORS WILL BE BILLUPS AND HAMILTON AGAINST THE SMALLER GUARDS FOR ORLANDO.......
AND since orlando lives and dies by the 3pt shot ,as well as gives up 99pts in detroit.....i gotta go with DETROIT-OVER
This is just the first game so DONT go crazy.....watch and observe.....
Yo bro, be careful here, you been making some really good calls on the over/unders (i have seen your work ), but you need to be aware. Some people (fish naked & goinggone ) might start thinking you are an alias of CK or Styl (cuz you win) & will report you to the COVERS TEAM to have you LOCKED UP. Be careful bro, there are some HATERS up in this motherfucker.
Good calll for tonite...........
Me personally, DET> all day game one at home , shit forget about it............

I think the big "D" don't want a repeat of game 1 with PHI so they will come out strong to take a quick lead and hold it throughout the game for a win to cover.
hey CM, I am not doubting your research as you have definitely proved that you can hold your own. However, from the nubmers crunching I've done, for both teams they all point to over. I think big "D" will keep the defense momentum from the last two games with PHI going into this series, especially at home. Do you think ORL will do the same with having such a long rest? Just wanted to get you thoughts...thanks.
If you think that the Pistons will continue their defensive performance from the SIxers series, and you point out the fact that the Magic have had a long rest, what is your argument for the over?
The problem for the Magic that I see in this series is that other than Dwight Howard, they don't have any scorers, and Howard really isn't a true scorer, as most of his points come off of rebounds and inside baskets. They don't have a guy that can take over a game. The Pistons play great team defense, but individually they aren't as great. The perfect example of this is LeBron last year in the Conference Finals. I think that is the type of player you need to beat the Pistons. A guy that can just dominate on the offensive side of the ball.
What I'm most interested in seeing out of this series is how Detroit plays 48 minutes of basketball. We all saw them quit on a couple of games against the Sixers, and it will be interesting to see how they come out in this one. Either way, I don't see a lot of scoring here. Both teams have to adjust to the other defense. Magic coming off an extended rest, and without a dominant offensive player. Pistons don't want this game to be a run and gun anyway. That's the main reason why the Magic had success against them during the regular season. They were able to coax the Pistons into their type of game.

I am also playing Detroit -3.5 in the first half for this game. The Pistons are damn tough at home in the first half of games. I'm too lazy to go back and figure out the actual stats, but I'm guessing they win ATS about 65% of the time. Add in the fact that there will undoubtedly be some rust on the Magic coming in to this one. An outside shooting team like Orlando usually needs some game action to get into the groove.

Little bit of a moose there at the half. Pistons just kinda gave up on the defensive end for a little while. Still looking good on the UNDER however for a split.
