Boston experienced the ebb and flow of a successful finals campaign in 2008 , with this same team , and they know all the scenarios.
they know the pressures that come with game 6 and game 7.
One thing Boston has constantly impressed upon me in the last 2 or 3 years.....Boston loves game 6's.
Orlando is certainly a worthy foe, and it was really a surprise they went down 3-0.
It may have even surprised Boston , who i'm sure wouldn't have expected to be 3-0 up.
All i know is that the last few times Boston ( with Garnett ) have been in a 3-2 situation , they don't often falter...no matter if it's the 2008 LAL in the finals... or the 2010 Cavs ,...
Lebron and Kobe couldn't find a way ....does anyone think Orlando with Howard as the captain will figure out a way ?
Boston with Garnett in the line up , probably feel like they are still defending champions....last year Boston were brave , but KG is just too important a player to lose in your finals push.
Last year , Boston were depleted & Orlando took care of them......
but this year, , Boston have a point to prove to Orlando..... and Boston have KG playing this year.
this is probably the last championship push for KG , PP , RA
they aren't thinking about 2011 , 2012....

Personally I believe Boston gets it done at home. There's one variable however that we have to factor in and thats the Officiating. Last game it was very evident that calls went in favor of magic. Not only did the officiating crew make it hard for the Celtics, but making horrible and non foul calls seem to shake up Boston and really took the focus from the game to being aggressive at the reffs! What im saying is, the officiating crew did a horrible job! Absolutely horrible. Im not saying this because i lost, i actually had majic as my play that game, but its not a fair and balanced playing field which is what henders my decision tonight.
But, Pierce steps up big tonight! crowd gets behind boston and the officiating crew gives a little something in their favor tonight.

ask yourselves a question when assessing the last 2 games.
is it possible that Boston approached games 4 and 5 , knowing they could afford to give less than 100% ?
is it possible Boston did not focus for the full 48 mins in either game 4 or 5 ?
Of course it's possible.
Some generosity from the referees also helped ORL in G5 ...
ORL had no choice but to keep playing hard for the full 48 mins + of games 4 and 5 because they were the last 48 mins they had left.
Boston 3-0 up , and 3-1 up , they knew that those 48 mins weren't life or death,..and they got punished for it....no big surprise.
i suspect Boston just figured and expected to be 3-2 ahead before the EC finals commenced , it's just the manner they got there was strange to say the least.....dismantling ORL for 3 straight games was no mean feat and maybe they were a little high on themselves after G3.
BOS may have realistically hoped to split games 1 & 2 in ORL .... BOS probably expected to win both games @ H , and take a 3-1 lead,...then maybe a slight let down , but still up 3-2 , ..before closing it out at H ....
and BOS have every right to think of this as game 7......
if they lose their 3-0 lead, and let ORL get it back to 3-3....??
let's just say...some momentum shifts simply cannot be stopped,..and i think the magic would absolutely explode if it got to a G7 in ORL , and destroy BOS ,
...but first, they have to try and beat BOS in game 6.
you want to know the most devastating NBA performance i have ever seen from a side ?
the 2nd Q from BOS in game 6 vs LAL in the 2008 finals.....
the last chance they had in front of their home crowd to end it , and they ended it !!
that is this team. when it gets time to apply the defensive vice, BOS know how to strangle teams , and suffocate them.
all the players that won in 2008 ,....minus Leon Powe , are there again..
their last chance
i have confidence in this BOS team.

Momentum is huge and it is surely with the Orlando Magic. You see the Celtics body language in the 4th Q of game 5? You see their interviews? They don't look too confident. They were outplayed on their home court in a close game 4 and were beat up and embarrassed in Orlando. If their not putting 100% into these games they better start thinking about doing so. Playing soft leads to concussions, lost teeth and shoulder injuries.
The Celtics haven't even seen a game out of VC. The Magic are dangerous, their bench is deep. I believe they've got too many weapons and are too physical for the Celtics.
The Celts are banged up and discouraged. You know that the injuries, fouls and inability to close this series out is playing on their psyche. They are in a MUST win situation now. This is their game 7, I'm curious to see what team shows up.
I see a Game 7 being played in Orlando on Sunday night.

" NBA teams that have gone up 3-0 in a best-of-seven series are a perfect 93-0. The Boston Celtics have still been the better team in this series and
momentum doesn't mean much from game to game in the playoffs. Over the first three games, the Magic shot just 29 percent from the
field in the first quarter. Over the last two, they've shot 57 percent. Howard has shot 65 percent with seven offensive rebounds over the last
two games after shooting 45 percent with six offensive boards in the
first three. The obvious offensive stat to look at is Orlando's 3-point shooting.
After shooting 29 percent in the first three games from beyond the arc,
the Magic have shot 43 percent in the last two, including a scorching
13-for-25 in Game 5 on Wednesday. , it's clearly a different series than it was four days ago If ever there was a team that could come back from 3-0, it would be these Orlando Magic."
