newsflash: for all of you denver homers............Jon Barry promised a denver win for this game. but Jon Barry predicted Denver would sweep la in games 3 and 4. I wouldn't want to side with a moron.
Take LA +4 and the Over. LET THE DUMBASS la sucks because of (yada yada yada) begin.......

Well, if Jon Barry promises a Denver win, then who are we to....... WHATEVER!!!!!!!! Lakers won't lose another game the rest of this series - especially not by no 4.5 - once again, "gift horse" - Lakers & over - let the hating begin.
P.S. - dddevin thank you for getting rid of that avatar you had - and hopefully agreeing with you on this won't create any unwarranted backlash haters on me - Good Luck

exactly... the spread should be good too, but when you have a play with this kind of backing, i prefer the security of points.
-spread would not have been set at DEN -4 if the nuggets weren't going to cover it.
-The nuggets struggled down the stretch where as the lakers executed - lakers got the game they came for and have been very on again off again in this seres.
- nuggets have been in control of every game for at least a while if not most of it (ie games 1 and 3) and showed in game 2 that they have the fortitude and determination of winners and chauncey and melo should be there for the team at crunch time this go around.
- my favorite: reverse line movement. spread opened up right where it did last time (-4) and with the public on the lakers, it moved up to +4.5 for them as if the books where just telling the public to pound that spread and the public followed like the rats behind the pied piper.
DEN ML
denver wins this game, and i think by 10, i just don't like messing around lakers and extra points.

Hate following trends in the NBA since they tend to turn on you quickly. But at least one half of every game so far has gone well under. The halves that have gone over, have barely sqeeked over on last second shots. Gotta go...

(though Im a lal fan) Its now or never for Denver. This would be the game where they would be at their best in this series . These guys' backs are against the wall and no other choice but to hit lal strong and hard.

Have to take Denver here. To me they've been the better team so far, but only have 1 win to show for it. I see Denver coming out strong out of the gate, and having a pretty decent size lead. Whether the Lakers make a second half push is still question in my mind.

The Lakers are now just a whopping 1-6 when leading in a playoff series this season.
Hard to bet against that when added to all the factors listed above.
All of the talk in Denver has essentially been about the Nugs. need to "turn up the brain" rather than go for the knock-out punch the home crowd encouraged in game 3, and despite the mental lapses and breakdowns (5 "T's" so far in this series + "we gave them lay-ups, fell asleep on cuts, had the technicals" - George Karl), and there's enough leadership on that team and staff to correct those problems.
There was also a TON of talk of the weariness of both teams on sunday.
Does this give us a pretty darn good lean towards the under?
Or is it a mistake to automatically make that assumption?

You are correct... This will be a slower more calculated weary game.... UNDER is looking good....

The second easiest pick I have made in the playoffs !! (after magic ML in game 7 against Boston)
Nuggets ML (Eat it up quickly)
I think Denver covers the spread also and wins by 10
IF YOU THINK DENVER COVERS BY 10 WHY WOULD YOU BE SAYING DENVER ML?
LAKERS GETTING 4.5 IN MY BOOK, I THINK I WILL BUY THE HOOK TO 5 AND GO WITH THAT. ALL 3 GAMES HAVE BEEN EXTREMELY CLOSE AND IF IT WEREN'T FOR SOME LAST MINUTE MISTAKES IN GAME 2 THEY LAKERS WOULD BE 3-0GOING INTO GAME 4

Nuggets 1st quarter
Nuggets half
Nuggests ML

I couldn't agree more with this. I believe Den comes out hard and then blows a lead but wins by 4. LAL covers 4.5.

I see the oddsmakers are making adjustments with that total, guess they are tired of getting crushed on that UN coming in all series in which I've popped it every time. No need in changing up now I'm gonna go with it yet again though a bit lighter than I have been because the ol law of avg. rule -- UNDER 208.5

LA took care of the business that needed to be done and sleepwalks through this one. I think it's a mistake because Denver is fully capable of beating them in LA but until the Lakers show me they will be engaged in non-must win games I've gotta go opposite them.
