This game is a must win for the Nuggets, and I think the leadership of Chauncey Billups will come into play tonight...expect a big game from him and from Anthony as the Nuggets win by 8.

This is a must win game for the Nuggets. I think that Chauncey Billups and his leadership abilities show up tonight and play a big part. He has been there before and his play will create a trickle-down effect to his teammates, including Carmelo Anthony, who had a pathetic shooting performance the other night. I believe the Nuggets cover here, even with Kobe scoring his usual 30+ points.

Will Lakers fans never learn?? This is where, more often than not, the Lakers go soft, flat, and disinterested - a road game coming off a win. Houston got 'em twice in that spot. I'll take my chances with Denver here.

Gm 3 w/ 5 tech. fouls and K Martin, C Anthony fouling out of gm It's getting physical and Kobe is panting in the post gm interview.
Den lost last gm because they got lazy and shot 5-27 from 3 pt arc. Way too many long jumpers. (Prev. gms 7-21 amd 8-19)
Denver's only way to beat the Lakers in by attacking inside. They cannot just rely on defense. They were able to get a plus 4 TO/steal margin last game but didn't capitalize shooting 84 attempts to Lakers 72 and losing by 6 pts.
C Anthony needs to step up and J Smith needs to pass the ball he is definitely in a slump.
Problem is that it is hard to attack the basket you have to run, cut, jump, spin etc. so much easier to pull up and shoot. Too many games in the NBA to do that every night. Lose one, win one, lose one.... let see what's next in the sequence.
So.. after taking the night off in gm3, Denver should come back and play hard since their backs are against the wall.
If Lakers lose they still did their job and got home court advatange back with a split. Unless the Lakers light it up from outside, Den should take this one at home.
Taking Denver ML big

After Kobe got flattened and then was so out of breath, he could barely finish the interview, I'm thinking he's tiredddd! Denver blowout tonight. The one man show is over.

Even though LA has done pretty well in mile high..I think the Nuggets dig deep tonight and get it done in front of their home fans..Maybe Mark Cuban could say something to fire them up..

Crazy as it sounds, I'm actually starting to think about the over as well.
These guys may not want to play defense tonight.
Denver's going to attack the basket and the aggressor usually gets the foul calls in the NBA. That's gonna' lead to foul shots, clock stoppage, and the Lakers doing everything they can to play keep up.
By the way, turns out Kobe apparently got about 8 hours of sleep last night (la times, he says he usually gets 3) and feels rested.
My only worry with all this logic is if LA does it's predictable disappearing act in this position.
Still, with the way these teams have been giving up points all season long, we're bound to finally have a high-scoring game, and why not the one in which Denver is at it's most desperate (so far) at home?

I saw that too. Who the fuck (except junkies) lives on 3 hours a night? This dude is trying to create this larger than life image. When Herschel Walker played with the Cowboys he said he only ate 1 small spinach salad a day during the season and only did push ups and sit ups. Right, Superman.
