It's like GWB wants to destroy democracy.  A monarchy, a veritable Bush kingdom, GWB being appointed by the Almighty to rule over the U.S.A.

I don't think a Bush monarchy is what the founding fathers had in mind.  Perhaps that's why they included the part about the separation of church and state in our Constitution.

Bush has governed with a hand representing the minority, special interests, that make up either the well organized voters (Christian Evangelicals) or else the financial (Big Oil, Corporate America, Defense Contractors) part, of his Republican base.

Seperation of Church is not in the US.Constitution.................
The Constitution does not state in the 1st Amendment "Seperation of Church and State"
 
It is a principle.......a legal doctrine derived from it,and from Thomas Jefferson's "Wall of Seperation Letter'' ...

Carter was by far the Worst. Unemployment,Inflation hit the roof under his administration.
 
How he handled the Iran hostage crisis was the most humiliating act of incompetence in American history. Yes Folks=== you can lay at the feet all the trouble were having with terrorism of Carter's door. He showed the fanatics that we would tolerate any act despotism by turning the other cheek and doing nothing.

hey red can you tell me how Iran-contra affected the situation. I am too young to fully understand this issue,was the first bush still heading the cia at this point?you seem to have some memory of this,which by the way seems to be how this game of world politics is played.Defeat the memory.

that's coming again in the future due to Bush's gross deficit spending. all you need is for the Japs, ChiComs and Saudis to stop buying our debt and we will have an inflation that will make the 70's look stable. as for "unemployment", when someone loses their good paying manufacturing job with benefits and has to work at Wal-Mart for minimum wage with NO benefits to try and feed their family, it doesn't show up on the "unemployment" stats.
 
btw, what Carter actually said was George Bush was the worst Predident ever on foreign policy which I would agree with (although it's a close one with Carter himself)

Oil embargo? That was 1973 under a Republican president.
 
There were long lines at gas stations in 1979. It wasn't because of an embargo, thoug. It was due to a whole range of market and industry factors, including--oh the shock!--oil companies screwing consumers.  Another reason was the decline in oil production in Iran under the new regime there. Inflation rose  under Carter because gas prices doubled. During this time, however, the Prudhoe Bay was opened up for production, which was a boon for American workers.
 
Look Carter sucked. But he was honest. Bush sucks and is a liar.
 
And for those who would lay modern day Islamic terrorism at Carter's doorstep, Ronald Reagan cutting and running from Lebanon after the Beruit barracks boming taught the terrorists what?

Both have done things that Hitler did , but nobody talks about it....

main reason that I think we are headed for ANOTHER hyperinflation in the near future. fuel costs effect almost everything because goods have to be transported. and I don't who the FUCK these so called "economists" are that are claiming "little or no inflation". obviosly those fuckers never go to the filling station or a food store. guess their servants do the shopping.
 
oh, and btw, Slim, quoting John Fund is about as valid as quoting Rush Limbaugh.

I see a lot of wrong facts, faulty history and the typical picking the toothpick out of the Dem's eye while ignoring the log in their own. The list of problems that Bush has created far outweigh Carter's, and Bush's problems will be with us for years to come. The worst part is, he's not even finished yet.
