New York times report that Trump policies have made housing more unaffordable.  His tariffs raised prices of lumber, steel, appliances and building materials.  Adding over $10,000 to cost of typical new home.  His immigration crackdown worsened construction labor shortage while Iran war increased inflation and mortgage rates.

  Inflation under the trump regime rose to 3.7% last month!

It’s not just gas. It’s the car repair, the doctor’s visit, the plane ticket, the computer upgrade, the new clothes.

Inflation rose faster than expected last month, and more broadly than expected, with price pressures extending well beyond the pump, new Bureau of Labor Statistics data showed Wednesday.

The latest Consumer Price Index showed that prices rose 0.6% in September from the month before, bringing the annual rate of inflation to 3.7%, up from 3.4% in August  

Worse gas-price-INFLATION crisis

According to CNN analysis of AAA data, the national average reg. gas price at the pump has stayed above $4 per gallon for 166 days this year - and counting!!!  - far surpassing the previous record of 157 days in 2022 under the Biden term.

Airfares in 2026 [under trump] are way up compared to last year!

The major US airlines reported that fares rose sharply during the July to September period, a result of higher fuel costs and steady demand. US airfares jumped about 25% this summer compared to 2025, according to data from the Consumer Price Index.

And airlines executives expect the trend of higher fares to continue for the foreseeable future.

  Tuesday marks the 179th day this year [under the trump regime] with the national average at or above $4 a gallon, according to a CNN review of AAA data.

That’s easily the most for any calendar year since AAA started tracking in 2000, surpassing the prior record of 158 in 2022 during the Biden presidency.
