for sure it's not. But when Biden was campaigning he kept saying they weren't going to stop fracking. Then when he was elected, they stopped fracking. Now our gas prices have gone from under $2.00/gallon to in my area $3.59 per gallon. Whether the oil comes from here, there or everywhere, it's bad for the planet to a point. But it seems like it's only bad here in the States. They are trying to blame everything but Biden's policies on why everything is higher cost, but it comes down to failed liberal policies and that you surely can't say isn't true. We had Covid during Trump's time and no inflation.

Biden's policies are not why this happened, it is supply and demand only, it will take another few years for government policy alone impacts prices especially since a high percentage of supply and demand is not from the US, oil is a world wide product, world wide consumption.
When did oil go below 30? When did oil capex start being crimped and outright eliminated? When did frackers, drillers and producers start slowing supply and especially exploration and when did MANY go out of business? THAT is when the impact starts taking place, not when Trump was in office or Biden was in office. When big companies are hurting so bad that they cut and eliminate their dividend, cut production, go out of business then you know supply is going to come down...and even with a small uptick in demand the time it takes to explore and drill/frack and get that supply into the queue is a very long time and it does not take much to send a price shock and that is exactly what happened. I never considered the overall cost of fracking to be worth the marginal supply benefit, fracking is extremely destructive and Trump did not give two craps about that, he was the dope who allowed that horrid pipeline to go forward not giving any concern to the short and long term consequences of a dirty pipeline so that refiners in Texas can get more Canadian sour to refine and ship to China. There has to be a balance between impact and cost and it would be better if we reduced demand more than allowing destructive marginal supply via fracking and using our land to ship foreign sour to refine and ship to China.

So these Europeon countries shutdown their own nuke plants, pipelines, etc. and then buy their energy from adversaries. What could go wrong??? 
We shutdown dirty pipelines and continue to transport by diesel trucks. We beg countries that are not "democracies" to produce more oil and then ship it around the globe and to us.
China is on a mission to build coal fired power plants and we act like we are going to save the planet by going green. Russia is selling China 100 million tons of coal and Australia over 30 million tons. Nevermind says John Kerry we all need to suffer and save the planet. Now he is worried how much climate damage the war in Ukraine will cause and hopes Putin will focus on climate change.

Biden's policies have us buying oil from Russia. We have indirectly funded Putin......& US citizens are footing the bill.
