US inflation was far worse in the 1980s. Generally, presidents have no or little control over inflation. Trump has been more lucky than Biden because he inherited lower inflation from Obama and Biden. Whereas Biden inherited supply chain disruptions caused by pandemic. Under Biden, inflation has dropped from 9% to under 3%.

According to public Defense Department data, there were 26,722 US military personnel in South Korea as of December 31, 2025.
