The big problem with this is that this country needs saving NOW.
A third party would not gain any traction over the next several election cycles as it would splinter the Republican party in the short run, perhaps requiring a decade to make a difference. We have seen how the Democrats treat elections and will now be faced with Biden encouraging 11 million immigrants over the next few years....we the people don't have a decade to waste.

GOP is at war with itself. Moderate republicans versus Trump cultists. Divided parties are weaker parties. History shows third parties usually don't perform well in elections. Some republicans are switching to other party. Corporations are withdrawing donations from republicans who support Trump's attempt to overturn fair election.

I hope they do it. A third party would show the Retardlicans just how small the Trump base is (they are just noisy, belligerent loudmouths, like their hero). Those idiots would get creamed and learn they have to get back in line with moderates, but in the meantime they could split the traditional party line vote and cost the party many offices. The mainstream Retardlicans could then stop fearing the "Trump Base" as though it were the heart of the party and the only way forward. Of course none of this will happen unless some very big money gets behind it because Trump won't spend his own money, and soon may not have any to spend anyway. Generally speaking big money does not get behind hopeless schemes (or they wouldn't be big money).
