Define 'adapt' in the context you are using it. For example, what did you do? Did you get behind GWB and support him? Or did you just not complain while he was in office and wait until he got out and then blame everything on him?
I, for one, think we as citizens should be able to complain about whomever is in office whether we support them or not and whether we voted for them or not. Always thought it was immature to tell someone they couldn't complain because they voted for who was in office. Or to leave the country if they wanted to complain.

Once you got to Iraq and took it over, took down Saddam Hussein's government, then what are you going to put in its place? That's a very volatile part of the world, and if you take down the central government of Iraq, you could very easily end up seeing pieces of Iraq fly off: part of it, the Syrians would like to have to the west, part of it -- eastern Iraq -- the Iranians would like to claim, they fought over it for eight years. In the north you've got the Kurds, and if the Kurds spin loose and join with the Kurds in Turkey, then you threaten the territorial integrity of Turkey.
It's a quagmire if you go that far and try to take over Iraq.
The other thing was casualties. Everyone was impressed with the fact we were able to do our job with as few casualties as we had. But for the 146 Americans killed in action, and for their families -- it wasn't a cheap war. And the question for the president, in terms of whether or not we went on to Baghdad, took additional casualties in an effort to get Saddam Hussein, was how many additional dead Americans is Saddam worth?
Our judgment was, not very many, and I think we got it right.

What changed from 1994 to 2003 besides Saddam started accepting the euro for his oil instead of the dollar?
Cheney knew exactly what was going to happen. Why did he want to invade Iraq and topple Saddam? Why was it all of a sudden worth the lives of American soldiers? What was accomplished?

ISIS is not Islam. That is what we were told Wednesday night. It is truly hard to make this stuff up. You did not build that. Somebody did it for you. Increasing the debt limit does not increase our debt. You can keep your doctor. You can keep your plan.Vote with revenge. What difference does it make? Stand down. Stand down! What is there to like? Shocking development! The JV team just sliced another westerner's head off.

Run of the mill delusional arguments. If people were told to stand down do you think Obama told them to stand down? What makes you say ISIS is Islam? Show me a link besides a Christie tweet or a quote from George Will. If ISIS is a varsity team than what is the US, Russia, China etc?? ISIS is a JV team. I was referring to things and the thoughts of Americans not Iraq like I posted in #64 ..
You will probably have to go to google ..but the instability in the Middle East started in the late 1970's when Carter did what he did with the Shah of Iran..

If Americans were told the truth instead of Iraq has wmd's than Americans "thoughts" would have been a lot different.
Why did Bush / Cheney lie to the American people and knowingly create a breeding ground for terrorists in the middle east?
