It isnt like from day one they werent in the middle of this religious mess but now it is getting worse, but who would have thought THIS would happen right?

Good thing Bush got Saddam out, he was doing a horrible job at keeping all these religious groups in check.

Have to agree with you  wall.

Every single person with half a brain knew that this would happen when we left.

    Ghadaffi, Saddam, Mumbarak, etc.
    better than the alternative.

Well when you put in as leader a religious minority head who has a history of religious angst I am not sure there is much that can be done.

Many knew from day one of the fiasco, (not from us leaving) that this was a total sham and would end badly.

Religious fighting trumps any other..a dictator might be the best solution when you are in a region with multiple religious groups who have the resolve to wipe the other off the map as their sole goal in life.

Glad we got all our money back in oil too..that is a big relief.

The Islamic State of Iraq and Syria fighters are at the gates of Bagdad...

President Obama is drawing a line in the sand  in Iraq ..warns of U.S. action as Jihadist push to Bagdad ,..

Pulled the troops out a little early, eh, Commander Obama?

    It's the Blame Bush Tactic.

In hindsight I wish we wouldn't have gone in either but Lord Obama just isn't up to the task.

All Presidents have to clean up the mess their predecessor left behind the only difference is I hear "Bush's Fault" every damn time I take a breath. The world is a mess everywhere. It seems like every decision he makes, domestic or internationally, especially internationally, ends up being a clusterfukk.

It's not a blame Bush tactic, It's a taking off your red, blue and white American tinted political glasses and reviewing the mess from a different perspective.

The only conclusion i have is, The plan was to create a mess there so that they would fight amongs't themselves and in turn the radical Islamic focus would sway from wanting to do damage to America to fighting domestic battles, I mean you only have to look at Egypt and Pakistan, What a mess, Not to mention, Afghanistan.

    SS,

I dont need some political talking head hack to tell me the obvious.

I enjoy seeing you two try and turn anything politically sensitive into an Obama issue.

So was Bush the president when this started or was it Obama?

I seem to remember it being Bush..nice try pal.

I know it is tough but Bush started this crap under a mountain of false intel and pretenses and it has gone from bad to worse, none of this has anything to do with Obama.

Religious fighting in the area has nothing to do with Obama. We could throw 10 million troops in there and STILL there would be religious fighting.

Mark Steyn gets it just about right ..

Obama and Clinton ended the war in Iraq by losing it.

They "pivoted" from Iraq to Afghanistan, and wound up losing both. Hillary crowed over Gaddafi's corpse - "We came, we saw, he died" - and then sat by as her ambassador and best friend "Chris" was devoured by the mob..

    Mark Steyn..

Oh look another quote from some political hack..

I can draw conclusions without spitting out what someone else says.

Aside from ANY US political garbage, that area will never survive without a strong non-religious leader forcing the opponents to co-exist.

So Clinton this, Obama that, Bush this or that..the real issue is Bush took out someone who was forcing the groups to co-exist at a HUGE loss of life and cost for a purpose which would never and will never be accomplished.

Would Obama or Clinton invaded Iraq? Maybe they put a happy face in public and try not to make Bush look like more of a moron than he is, but would either have INVADED as Bush and his father did?

    I do not think so.

Taking out Saddam was a huge mistake..but the debt had to be settled and now here we are.

Still Bush's fault huh? Let's see where the weapons Al queda used came from. It's interesting this happened just after the US armed al Queda in Syria. Coincidental?
