RJSmith – All those things you pointed out in the bible are nothing compared to what I posted. Those rules were written my Neanderthals 2000 years ago on psychedelic mushrooms. Romney stands with his religion first and governs second. He is just better at hiding it that others. Sarah Palin, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, and Mitt Romney are the same person.

TILTOLOGIC – I know being crazy doesn’t matter. Republicans are so screwed in the head that they would elect an Anton LaVey, Aleister Crowley, or Marshall Applewhite worshiper as president of the United States. I’m sure what the president at ate the age of 6 was important or those crazy birthers…yeah…yeah…I want to hear Election Day…the first libertarian ever to be elected president of the United States…Gary Johnson…or I want to see tears in tea baggers and fox news analysts, so I can enjoy seeing them say they are going to jump off the headquarters in NY. 

I dont see religion being a reason to vote or not vote for him personally.

I don't like Romney. Not because of his religion, he just doesn't seem genuine to me.
Could you show me how his religion influenzed him as governor?

i don't know.  i tend to agree because he doesn't seem to wear it on his sleeve to manipulate the masses like the nuts (cain, santorum, palin, bachmannia, etc).  and if someone keeps their religion silent in politics, i can certainly respect that.

on the other hand, like obama, romney is the crowd pleaser type who will do/say anything to win or stay in office and the religious nuts are on his side.  so as long as the republicans cater to the nuts, and don't disassociate themselves with them, there's always a concern that religion will come into the mix. 

and then there's the old vanzack argument that money made.  if you meet some guy and he starts talking about his belief in the tooth fairy and unicorns and shit like that, the guy may be a nice enough guy but you probably aren't going to entrust too many key decisions to him. 

I think you can find oddities or flaws in any and all religion.

i'm pretty comfortable voting for someone regardless of their religion.  in other words, i don't give a shit what their religion is if it's clear they keep their religion out of politics. 

however, if i feel there is a tendency to cater to a particular religious group in any way, and a particularly crazy religious group, then that is a factor in my decision.  for that reason, i wouldn't disqualify someone because he's a mormon or muslim or whatever, but i'm less likely to vote for a republican.

Wallstreetcappers - I hate that you can believe in absolutely crazy nonsense and attach the word religion to it and all of a sudden it’s not crazy. Take the word religion out and just look at the context of the beliefs.

Romney believes in the state of Ohio, in the 1827, a charlatan man had visions, voices in his head, and met an angel in an open field named Moroni.
Romney believes in magic underwear.
Romney believes that people with dark skin, are cursed by god.
Romney believes that that there are four secret handshakes to get into heaven.
Romney believes that the Garden of Eden was in the state of Missouri.
Romney believes that it’s OK for the goat’s head symbol (a satanic symbol) to be the symbol of the Mormon temple.
Romney rejects the sign of the cross.

It’s not religion you should be focused on WSC, it should be the fact that he believes these things that should alarm you. If some person on a park bench started saying these things to you, you would think the man belongs in a mental hospital not in the White House. That’s the point I’m trying to make.

RJSmith – I can’t think of anything off the top of my head. I’m not saying the reason I’m not voting for Romney is only because of his religion. I’m saying I look at Romney’s sanity and personal character and see that he’s not sane enough to be president of the country. The fact that he believes these things make me uncomfortable with him having the keys to the White House and Americans lives in his hands.

Let’s say… Romney was an Asatru, Eckankar, Nuwabianism, Nation of Yahwveh, The Universe People, Creativity religion, UFO religion, Satanism, Voodoo, Witchcraft, Scientology, Raelism, The Ordo Templi Orientis, Anton LaVey, Aleister Crowley, or Marshall Applewhite worshiper…would you still think he’s mentally fit to be president? I think not... let’s say a man with these beliefs wanted to be the husband of your daughter? Would you be OK with it? I think not…

I know all of what you say regarding his faith, it is common public information, and you are stretching it a bit in some areas.

My father and grandfather took me to see wwf in odessa tx at the ector county coliseum when I was 5 years old. I’ll never forget the day I saw the ultimate warrior defeat hulk hogan in a championship match. I got my hand slapped by the ultimate warrior when he ran around the ring. I actually got to meet and shake hands with the bird man koko b ware. My father, grandfather, and me still watch wresting together from time to time after all these years. My son and nephew will carry on the love for wresting entertainment. It’s not as good as it used to be but I still enjoy it. I have no idea why you have an issue with this?

Flipping channels I have watched match or two but I would never pay 50 cheddarians to watch a bunch of buddies act like they hate each other merely to swindle your hard earned cash from your possession into theirs.
