Trump supporters AND antifa out here both literally look like they were sent from central casting. And it'd be really hard to fake. There have been instigators moving within this movement from the beginning, that much has been documented nationally, but thus far the media has blown it all a bit out of proportion. And with the notion now being so commonplace, the frequency of incidence is only going to grow. Clearly the FBI didn't put that warning out for nothing.
....but yeah, all the news coverage I watched, regular ass Portland antifa. Trump supporters, literally all Oregonians outside of Multnomah and Washington county, don't even look like they belong in Portland. Oregon is kinda hickish. The people have a very distinct look, vibe, (race). And Portlanders have a very distinct look and vibe. And neither side would be very good at faking the other. It'd take more than putting on black clothing or a Maga hat, respectfully.

True. All I can speak to is what I saw on the local news and what I know of the people who live around here. A local take as opposed to a grand scheme of things national take. I had saw where gamble had mentioned something about these actiona in a thread last night. It was liks 9:50 when I saw it so I was going into the 10 o'clock news already looking to really scrutinize what I saw. I watch one networks news at 10, and another's at 11. The footage that I saw, which obviously does not paint the whole picture, was not of Neo-Nazis in disguise. I know of what I speak and I would swear an oath to it. That is not me taking any side or defending any groups because believe me, there are a fuck ton of white supremacist in the Pacific Northwest. This much is well documented. I've been blessed and have encountered nothing but the warmest and kindest people in my time living here, and in my travels all throughout the Northwest but like I said, it's all pretty well documented. So I wouldn't put the existence of that element past anyone but in the footage I saw, it was the same stock characters. And these motherfuckers out here, the Trump supporters, the alt-right type, couldn't fake it if they tried. There aren't any transsexuals amongst the Maga set in Oregon. There aren't in half shaved head Latin-X lesbians. People from Portland have a very distinct look, as cliche as thar sounds, and people from literally the entire rest of the state with the exception of Multnomah County (Portland) and the adjacent Washington County, and maybe the city of Eugene (U of Oregon) are a completely different breed of people. Oregon, the Pacific Northwest, is country and hickish as shit. People thing Oregon is Portland. Oregon is Alabama. Oregon is Mississippi. These dudes ain't blending in, I promise you. Again, i've encountered nothing but warm and generous people here but i'm just keeping it real. Again, just local perspective. All of my perspectives on things come from personal experience, nothing i've seen on the national news or anything. I think cable news in an abomination, I don't watch any of it. I speak mostly from the perspective of the Northwest and Northern California. I've been a lot of places but I am deeply ingrained those two regions and thar has put me in more direct contact with some of the actions that have been documented in the national media. Whether if it's the riots in Portland this year, demonstrations of groups like Antifa in Portland, i've seen it first hand. Mind you, I moved here in 2016. So all this stuff was really starting to pop off. So I wanted to see what it was all about. I had experienced the occupy movement and the Oscar Grant protests in my hometown, which was forerunner of BLM. I had experienced the early days of BLM in the Bay Area, one of the first places the movement took hold. Then I move to the Portland Area and experience what has gone on here. So I just speak from a very personal perspective is all. Obviously that doesn't necessarily reflect the grand scheme.

All true. And like I said, given the Northwest's history, and present, it wouldn't be shocking if it was going on. That element is extremely prevalent here. Again, (knock on wood) I have not had issues so I will speak no ill but the shit is all well documented. This shit was the last frontier. The people who settled this area were largely southern and southern sympathizers, if you know what I mean? It runs deep here but it's fucking beautiful. I love the Northwest. I love home too. Home is beautiful too but it's different here. I cop up one frosty, foggy morning to go do some Xmas shopping. Stopped at my local coffee stand, fat Xmas tip for the coffee girls and i'm off to the to the stores. And i'm driving through all the farm land and across little river bridges, warm coffee, hitting a really stony vape pen. Heat on, window down, Xmas shopping, it felt like a little slice of heaven. I love home but it sucks. It's a rat race. It was prematurely aging me. Plus I do way to much blow there. I've lived and Oregon for like 5 years and i've only done blow here a few times. Before I moved here I was spending like $1000 a week. I still spend a ton of blow. I'm there a lot because of work/business and I still do to much blow there but here, out of respect to the mrs, I pretty much don't touch the stuff. Had a few bumps a few months ago when a buddy was in town for work.
