Disco, still trying to defend the canadian healthcare system when clearly its a total failure.
Now all of a sudden you have all these people you know that dont have any problems getting care, when by your own words you said you havent had any dealings with the system and dont know people who have.
You just love to keep changing your story, its quite comical.
The fact is you just cant admit when your wrong on something.
Leave the Canadian healthcare issues to JG a guy who clearly knows what the hell is going on up there.

What am I wrong about cd?

    Please enlighten me

I told you I'm not going to go into people's personal dealings with healthcare and their problems. And I'm not going to give you any insight into the actual problems that are there but that you guys clearly know nothing about.

You want me to go into asshole fine. My best friend, who is like an older brother, had cancer numerous times, had it cured numerous times, and when he was in Alberta he couldn't get a doctor. Not because there wasn't doctors, but because no doctors wanted to deal with the issues associated with giving a former addict who was at the time on parole, mass quantities (of nessesary) prescription drugs.

There are issues but it's complicated, and in order for me to properly explain why he has issues getting a doctor, I just had to post personal info about him on the net. So that's why I didn't want to go into it, because it complicated and I'm sure he wouldn't want me to elaborate any further than I already have, if that.

But thanks for being so douchy that I felt like I had to explain to you why I don't want to talk about personal experiences, and instead focus on factual info, like the WHO you guys love to keep ignoring, and the GDP spending figures etc.

First off nobody asked for you to post personal experiences.  You make it sound like we are going to know who this person is now.

Am sorry your friend has cancer, my brother in law has it as well and doesnt have much time left.  I have had lots of family members get cancer, so i know all about it.  Tell your friend to seek treatments outside of the conventional surgery, chemo and radiation because those treatments dont work, they just kill you in the end.  Look for the natural cures

Getting back to the canadian health system, clearly JG knows alot more about the problems then you will ever know.  You have no credibilty discussing the canadian health system, because by your own words you never dealt with it.

One question do you and all of your friends use drugs?

    I don't use drugs.

    I'm against drugs.

Although I think all non-violent drug offenses should be decriminalized, I'm strongly against the use of any actual drugs: coke, crack, heroin, pills of all kinds etc. etc.

I smoke weed, which is a plant (herbal medicine if you must).

I know I said I'm done discussing him but I don't think you should  take shots at chemo because it's helped him beat it and fingers crossed it hasn't come back.

And cd I did have make it out private life because in order for me to tell you why he can't get a doctor I have to talk about his personal life, and the surrounding circumstances.

He has a doctor now so it's all good, this was years ago... But I still don't think he would want me talking about it.

Disco, when you happen to sober up, it would be nice to see your liberal ass finally admit you were wrong about the public option stuff?
I know its hard for you extreme liberals to do it, but just suck it up and do it.  Who knows you might like admitting your wrong about things.  It might cleanse your soul.

pot is considered a drug just like the rest of the drugs, so please stop saying its just a plant in order to justify you smoking it.
Face it, your a pot head and as long as you keep doing it you will never get a good job anywhere or will you just tell your employer when you fail your drug test "hey dude its just a plant, not a drug"

    Disco,

Here is a letter to the editor in today's Montreal Gazette...  Please tell me you think this is a good thing...

Health-care system doesn't look after us

    function resizeImage() { var imgBox = document.getElementById('imageBox'); var photo = document.getElementById('storyphoto'); if (imgBox != null && photo != null) { if(photo.width >= 460) { imgBox.className = 'imagesize460'; } else { if(photo.width >= 300) { imgBox.className = 'imagesize310'; } else { imgBox.className = 'imageboxpadding'; } imgBox.style.width = photo.width + 'px'; } } } function getStoryFontSize() { var storyfontsize = getCookie('storyfontsize'); var storyfontimage = getCookie('storyfontimage'); // use cookied value, if present if (storyfontsize != null) { setClass('story_content',storyfontsize); if (storyfontimage != null) { setClass('fontsizecontainer',storyfontimage); } } else // default it to para14 if no cookie { setClass('story_content','para14'); setClass('fontsizecontainer','size02'); } } function setStoryFontSize(storyfontsize,storyfontimage) { setClass('story_content',storyfontsize); setClass('fontsizecontainer',storyfontimage); setCookie('storyfontsize', storyfontsize, '365', '/', '', ''); setCookie('storyfontimage', storyfontimage, '365', '/', '', ''); } function setCookie( name, value, expires, path, domain, secure ) { // set time var today = new Date(); today.setTime( today.getTime() ); if ( expires ) { expires = expires * 1000 * 60 * 60 * 24; //days } var expires_date = new Date( today.getTime() + (expires) ); document.cookie = name + "=" + escape( value ) + ( ( expires ) ? ";expires=" + expires_date.toGMTString() : "" ) + ( ( path ) ? ";path=" + path : "" ) + ( ( domain ) ? ";domain=" + domain : "" ) + ( ( secure ) ? ";secure" : "" ); } function getCookie( check_name ) { // split this cookie up into name/value pairs var a_all_cookies = document.cookie.split( ';' ); var a_temp_cookie = ''; var cookie_name = ''; var cookie_value = ''; var b_cookie_found = false; // set boolean t/f default f for ( i = 0; i < a_all_cookies.length; i++ ) { // split apart each pair a_temp_cookie = a_all_cookies[i].split( '=' ); // and trim left/right whitespace while we're at it cookie_name = a_temp_cookie[0].replace(/^\s+|\s+$/g, ''); // if the extracted name matches passed check_name if ( cookie_name == check_name ) { b_cookie_found = true; // we need to handle case where cookie has no value but exists (no = sign, that is): if ( a_temp_cookie.length > 1 ) { cookie_value = unescape( a_temp_cookie[1].replace(/^\s+|\s+$/g, '') ); } // note that in cases where cookie is initialized but no value, null is returned return cookie_value; break; } a_temp_cookie = null; cookie_name = ''; } if ( !b_cookie_found ) { return null; } }

When there are complaints about "the system" in Quebec we usually think we are immune, that it's happening to someone else, to people who are new to Quebec. Not so.

This week my pharmacist advised me that I couldn't get my vital prescriptions renewed because he could not find the paper my doctor gave me before he retired. There were no doctors to take over his practice.

I called Westmount Medical Clinic to find a new doctor and was told that there was not one single doctor who would take a new patient. I finally found one doctor who was willing to see me in April 2010.

When I called my local CLSC, I was informed that there was a waiting list of three years to get a family doctor. I called the government only to find that my alternatives were either to go to an emergency room, or take the day off of work and wait at a walk-in clinic to ask for prescriptions from a doctor who has absolutely no clue about my medical history.  He will not be my family doctor, but he might "follow up."

After a day on the telephone getting nowhere, I finally broke down in tears. What has happened to our system? In what way is our government taking care of us? Every day I hear stories about how new people coming to Quebec are supported, educated, medicated, and very well looked after. What about taking care of the people who pay taxes to support all those programs?

JG - maybe if people wouldnt look to government to wipe their asses for them, we wouldnt be in this mess

when the shit hits the fan in the US it will be very scary. too many people in this country rely on handouts or government checks for one reason or another and that shit will stop overnight given our current path. its not like there will be slow cuts...it will be: wake up one morning and find out china and japan have stopped buying our debt

Now if only the politicians could realize and understand this instead of being hell bent on creating more debt by giving more stuff away all so they can get the people who they are giving stuff to, have them keep voting for them.  They dont realize that they will even be out of a job when the country is in fullblown revolt.

Can you believe that fat piece of shit mike moore makes a movie bashing capitalism when his hyprocrite ass has made millions on the backs of capitalism. Iam so sick of these type of people.

Oh and on another note, it appears europe is starting to get away from socialism and heading back to capitalism.  THEY FINALLY ARE REALIZING THAT SOCIALISM DOESNT WORK.
