I really dont know what kind of example your looking for and even if there are no examples its foolish for you to base your conclusion since its never happened, it could never happen. It could very well happen and then again it might not ever happen. I know one thing am not personally gonna sit back and hide my head in the sand taking the word of corrupt power grabbing politicians. If thats how you want to live your life, thats great. I have always said if the Constitution needs to be changed, then it should be the people in a vote who change it, not corrupt politicians doing it for their own good. If the country votes and the majority of people dont want weapons, then so be it, but until that vote happens weapons should stay in the hands of all law abidding citizens who want them. Case closed

You do know thou, it is the extreme people on the left and the extreme people on the right who are ruining and tearing the country apart. Neither one of these side can ever meet in the middle and thats sad.

This weapons ban is gonna create more crime and drug gangs in the country then we have ever see before.  The extreme left and their nutty logic will be the cause of it.

Listen am no law major, but its pretty clear that court pretty much changed the intent of the second amendment to what they wanted it to be.  No court should be having the power to change that document.  Only the people should have the power to change it.  But we live in a country were the rich and powerful can do what they want and the rest of us, just need to shut up and take it

China has over a billion people, how does their govt keep their people under a communist rule and in check?  couldnt be the fact that the people dont have weapons and they use their military and law enforcement.  Why you think that our govt couldnt control our 300 million people like China does theirs, is once again foolish thinking.  You can keep saying am wrong all you want, but that still doesnt make you right on this subject.  Tell me how our govt couldnt do this if they decided to do it.  and please save the our military wouldnt do it.  Why does chinas military do it to their people.

Also you never addressed the question, that when all the weapons are gone, how is the country gonna deal with the more then likely increase in crime and powerful drug gangs ruling the streets?  Cops cant control it now.  With citizens not having weapons, it will be a free for all for the bad guys.

I know these are things you just blow off and say wont happen, but they could.  So why take a chance.  How is less guns in the hands of law abidding citizens gonna make any of us 1 bit safer?  Its the bad guys we need to get the weapons away from to make us safer, but thats never gonna happen.  If there was a way to completely rid the world of weapons, then i would be on your side.

I acknowledged your points but our Founding Fathers couldn't possibly forsee how our society would evolve into. Therefore, it's not unrealistic to have a slight different interpretation of the document. Besides, most Amendments were challenged at some points. If those are proven not absoulte, why only the Second Amendment should be?

I do agree with you that extremists on both sides are ruining the country. Most will agree there is no place for RPGs, grenade..etc in our homes, then why couldn't people at least try to come up with something reasonable to both sides? Instead, we have a bunch of politicans dealing with the issues they have no clue about as a result of the hard-line stand both sides are taking.

Wall I'll answer your question. The enslavement began many years ago. This thread kind of proves it. The govt/ruling class/elites which I believe there are, have enslaved millions of people with their own fear.I also believe there will be another revolution but it won't be with guns and I doubt it will happen in my lifetime.
