What is scary is that the answers behind much of this will blow both science and 21st century bible beaters out of the water, dispelling all the current myths and premises that these paradigms are based on...

I wanted to hear his definition of intelligent design... he seems familiar with dawkins and the topic... and unlike the history of some idiotic things posted in this forum on the topic, im thinking I will get an intelligent answer from rick on the topic of intelligent design... and with out the childish games and insults... so I am eager to her his definition...

I was raised Catholic, I will raise my daughter to know who Jesus is, or to know the story of Jesus. I don't think there is anything wrong with that.

Intelligent design just points to some sort of "creator" Not necessarily God, not necessarily any religious figure .
in my opinion, the most basic and logical conclusion is that there is a creator. the simple logic is that we, the earth, what we know of the universe exists, if it exists, it must have been created, if it was created, there must have been a creator.
i don't like the term intelligent design because the basic logic neither implies intelligence nor a design but it does seem like the most basic of facts to me that there is, or at least was, a creator.
as to your comment about science has settled everything, i thought the whole idea of science is that it's always being tested and questioned so it contemplates the possibility, or the likelihood, of changing. however, that implies a natural conflict with religion which seems to never rely on longstanding beliefs that don't change.

It is ludicrous to have an air of superiority, and time will prove this. We are still Cavemen in many ways. It was not long ago leading scientists who thought that they were working with the best information possible studied and practiced Eugenics and the inferiority of certain races, and actually took steps to eradicate these races. We all know how that turned out.
I know that I can not know with full certainty that God exists. That is why it is called faith, and not a full blown certainty with documented proof. People that claim to have proof of God are just as sad and misled as those who think that they can disprove God.
In the end it is something in your heart that either draws you to or away from religion. I have a lot of friends that are devout atheists and want to take every opportunity to ridicule me and call me a flat earther etc. I still get blamed for the Crusades and Salem witch trials. It is pretty stupid.
