Problem is that flawed system keeps bad leaders in power. Other countries have parliamentary systems that allow for a vote of no confidence that could trigger a election. But US has no such mechanism. Removing unfit presidents is almost impossible. Legal system is only as strong as people who enforce it. If they refuse to act against abuses of power, the system fails. Democracy only survives if people defend it.
