 I'd wake up each morning not wondering what country we've attacked during the night. I wouldn't be concerned that this administration refuses to follow the court rulings. Kidnapping citizens voicing their free speech wouldn't be rounded up by masked thugs wearing tactical gear. Massive wild swings in the market would no longer be a major issue. We wouldn't have to deal with lies after lies after lies.

I wouldn't miss this POS one iota.

Not sure what difference the President would make about striking different countries.

Obama, Trump, and Biden had all done their fair share of that.

   Besides Nigeria and Iran, the others Trump has struck have been struck by Obama and/or Biden as well.

   Certainly, Biden did a bit fewer.  But he was in office for less time and part of that was concentrated on getting out of the Pandemic.

   All three presidents carried out operations in Afghanistan, Iraq, Somalia, Syria and Yemen.

   Both the Obama and Trump administrations launched strikes against Libya and Pakistan, but those did not occur while Biden was president.

   All of the strikes in the MENA region had a lot of folks questioning Obama winning the Nobel Peace Prize.

   But each President had some unique situations in various countries to deal with.  They each also had some of the same troublesome ones to contend with.

Every President has had some issues with not following established court rulings.

Obama even had immigration rulings against him that he did not follow.  They even ruled against him on the DACA expansion.  There were many issues where he was criticized, specifically, for circumventing rulings on immigration and healthcare.  Even his use of EOs were looked at askance for overreach and disregarding judicial rulings.

   So, this is not unique to Trump.  You simply had Republicans bellyaching when Obama did it; now you have Democrats upset and say Trump is doing it.

   You even had a Cato study saying that the Obama administration had been one of the most lawless in history.

   So, a lot of this has to be looked at in context and without preconceived ideas.

   This simply has not happened at all.  They are doing no more or less than others have when dealing with folks that are doing more than simply protesting.  If folks are flat out running interference with an investigation or operation they should be arrested for that.  That is not ‘kidnapping’.  Even Obama had to deal with some of that.  It is just that it is much more prevalent now that it is Trump doing it.  If Obama had to deal with these things as much there would not have been this amount of outcry.

There is no more volatility in the markets than there was under Biden, or even a bit further back.

   If you look at the 10-day volatility chart on a yearly basis, you will see that it is more or less in the same channel and maybe even trending downwards.  After the tariff spike, it has settled right back down to around 7-8 range.  It was above 30 for a good portion of the 2022 year under Biden and above 15 for close to two years under Biden.  Then it went back over 15 again late in 2024 and into 2025. But now it is below 8.

   Volatility has to be looked at as a percentage and not just in points. As the market goes up and up the points are not reflective as much.  A 10 point swing when the S&P is at 680 is not nearly as startling as it was when the S&P was at 300, for example.

   So, I am not sure any of those reasons are legitimate concerns to be worried about anything other than the fact that it is now Trump in office while it is happening.
