Shillbilly VD Vance on Fox: "All these great factories are being built. But when they turn on & you're hiring thousands of Americans per factory that's when the real Trump boom starts I think."
What factories and built by whom?
What a crock of shit!

Commander Cankles July 19: "All three nuclear sites in Iran were completely destroyed and/or OBLITERATED. It would take years to bring them back into service."
Steve "I've Got A Bridge To Sell You" Witkoff Sunday morning: "They're probably a week away from having industrial-grade bomb-making material."
Both of these statements were/are lies.

MAGA doesn't care one twit about rules & regulations meant to keep people safe. Not with the environment and not with law enforcement.

A growing number of major corporations have announced significant U.S. manufacturing investments in early 2025. The surge in announcements follows the start of President Donald Trump’s second term and the implementation of new tariffs on imported goods. While not all companies have explicitly cited tariffs as their reason for expansion, many are increasing their domestic manufacturing footprints across multiple sectors, including technology, pharmaceuticals, and automotive.
Below is a summary of the most notable announcements:
Apple has committed to spending over $500 billion to expand its manufacturing presence in the U.S. over four years.
Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC) announced an additional $100 billion in U.S. investments, bringing its total commitment to $165 billion. The funding will support three new fabrication plants, two packaging facilities, and a major R&D center in Phoenix, Arizona. According to the company, the expansion will generate tens of thousands of high-tech jobs.
Pharmaceutical company Johnson & Johnson is investing over $55 billion in U.S. manufacturing, research, and technology over four years. The company is currently building a biologics facility in Wilson, North Carolina, which will focus on next-generation cancer and neurological treatments. J&J will also expand capacity at existing U.S. plants.
Eli Lilly announced it will more than double its U.S. manufacturing investment to $50 billion by establishing four new sites. Three of these facilities will focus on active pharmaceutical ingredient (API) manufacturing and small-molecule chemical synthesis, aimed at strengthening domestic pharmaceutical supply chains.
GE Aerospace will invest nearly $1 billion in its U.S. manufacturing and supply chain. The investment includes $500 million for facility expansion and $100 million for advanced material production. The company plans to hire approximately 5,000 U.S.-based employees in 2025.
Hyundai Motor Group will invest $21 billion in its U.S. operations between 2025 and 2028. The funds will support efforts to increase annual U.S. production to 1.2 million vehicles, improve parts localization, and develop future technologies including robotics and autonomous driving.

Yogurt manufacturer Chobani plans to build a $1.2 billion factory in Rome, New York. At over 1 million square feet, the facility will be one of the largest dairy plants in the U.S., with a projected capacity of 1 billion pounds of product per year and the creation of 1,000 jobs. This follows a separate $500 million expansion in Idaho.
Toy and school supply maker Cra-Z-Art, based in New Jersey, announced a 50% increase in its U.S. manufacturing capacity. The company cited tariff-related cost concerns as a factor and plans to expand its facilities and workforce to speed up delivery and reduce costs.
CONCLUSION; These announcements reflect a significant increase in domestic manufacturing commitments across industries. While not all companies have attributed their decisions directly to new tariffs, the policy environment appears to be influencing long-term capital investment strategies.

@UNIMAN
So does all these alleged "wins" per your view offset that he is a racist, sexist creep?
Why does the US seek foreign investment into this country under Trump? Previously it was viewed that this country has enough capital and need domestically and that inviting foreign investment and ownership has great downsides to the security and safety of this country. I do not see why Trump is seeking other countries to build schtuff here when we are the greatest country in the world, we do not need foreign capital here.

Trump's partisan propaganda rally Tuesday night
[however, rumor has it that republicans have been warned against straight-arm saluting, despite how much they may want to]
Mind you, being warned against straight-armed saluting of the MAGA Führer doesn't mean they won't do it anyway . . .

LEFT HOLDING THE BAG AGAIN
Looks like the state of Florida will not be receiving reimbursement for the construction of Alligator Alcatraz. It will be out about a quarter million. It gets better.
DHS states they submitted an application for a 608 million grant to FEMA for the prison & it was approved. But that didn't mean the money was actually sent.
The Director of our state FEMA department said he was told the DOJ had held up the reimbursement.
Of course the contractors who built this disaster had made major political contributions to DeSantis. The Miami Herald did a great expose identifying all the usual suspects who have made billions on state contracts.
Seems to me like no-one in the state gives a shit.

An outside observer might ask:
"which political party oversees the DOJ, DHS, FEMA and the state of Florida?"
