Speaker Mike Johnson was asked by ABC’s Jonathan Karl why it was a priority to remove the 10% tax on tanning beds in their budget bill.

Johnson “Look, I think that was an unfair thing that the Biden admin put on an industry."

KARL: "It goes back to 2010.”

OK, fine. You want to remove the tax. Do it!

But why try to blame President Biden for something that was done 15 years ago? And if this was so important to the GOP, why didn't they remove it during Dumpy's 1st term?

This lack of detail and prep from politicians is rampant, there have been multiple videos of town halls where outraged citizens are calling out their elected politicians for voting for that bill of death abomination and they ask why the clown voted for it and their responses over and over were that they did not know the entirety of the bill.

Translation they are partisan idiots who get the call from Trump or Johnson and just drone their way to support it without knowing much if anything that they are voting. This is not representing the common citizen, it is representing the partisan project 2025 agenda that Trump has choke chained all TNC drones into following.

The political party in power is all that changed.

CNN reports 22 governors condemn Trump's extreme overreach in Los Angeles.  Deploying national guard without consulting governor is dangerous and ineffective.  Instead of bringing law and order, more risk of provoking violence.  Local police is more effective in de-escalating tensions and protecting community.  Without evidence, Trump claims governor Newsom is incapable of stopping protests.

Mid... people want to protest with signs and whatever else that's their right however if a rock is thrown, trash cans tossed , protesters touching officers to list a few things is unacceptable.   They push to see how far they can go.  To me this is not political.   Been around a long time.  Need to have accountability as well as responsibility.

Cassidy is a doctor & his vote was vital for this junkie to get confirmed.

I'VE NEVER DONE THIS BEFORE BUT I WILL ON SATURDAY MORNING

The boss & I will be attending the "No Kings" peaceful protest in Fort Lauderdale this Saturday morning from 10 am to 12:30. We've never protested about anything in our lives. It's not our bag so to speak. We are more of the "live & let live" crowd."

But what's taking place in our country right now troubles us deeply. The insanity in LA was the icing on the cake for us. So we are getting off our asses & will be in attendance with like minded citizens.

Mid.. quick question.. if you see a protestor vandalize, loot, toss objects what will you do?  I don't think you will have any issues that day but IF something does happen, what is your response?  Other than that, you and the Mrs. have great weekend.

 Scooby...Lauderdale is a pretty mellow place. We'll be on the beach & I'm sure there will be some speakers but I don't know who else will show up. North of us in Palm Beach through Jupiter the MAGA boat parade will be taking place. So I expect those with different views will be north of us. 

I would like to believe  no one will be trying to burn down the t-shirt shops or the smoke shops or the Elbow Room.

However, to answer your question if I see someone do something I will let the closest police officer know what I saw. At the same time if I need to stop a scumbag from harming someone else, I'm still capable of physically restraining a person. Those are skills learned during a lifetime that you don't forget how to use.

Now down in Miami, it could get ugly. We have many Venezuelans who don't know their status here & I could see some emotional outbursts that could get out of hand.
