Earlier this season, VICE did a really interesting piece about how ISIS controls the drug trade across North Africa, and that's a big source of their income. They control the opium, cocaine, and heroin that goes into Europe, and that funds a lot of what they do. It's worth looking up and watching.

This may be very well true however Muslims especially these fundamental extremists hate drugs to the point of a death sentence to anyone caught with them but it wouldn't surprise me if they were dealers of this also.

They go with the oil to Turkey and come back with the guns. ISIS is being funded by black-market oil trading..

Kinda, but not really. They give their fighters khat, so they are more willing to fight. The Taliban was one of the most extreme groups, under their watch, Afghanistan supplied somewhere around 80% of Poppy and 30% of Marijuana. I know the US government s propaganda suggests Afghanistan is this huge hheroin supplier.. Not true poppy plants grow world wide. If some chemist can manufacture meth to the point it's a fire hazard. In a ghetto growing a poppy plants and extracting oil is about as easy as tying tour shoe laces. See Afghanistan is land locked. It is incredibly poor and has very little infrastructure that hasn't been bombed burnt or destroyed. How do you move 60% of the world's cargo for herion donkeys?...through mountain passes that have mined? Doesn't make sense to me.

Isis was funded to prevent a Shiite swath of Iran and Syria to go unchecked. But he group became such a political embarrassment that now a Kurds are being groomed to take that position. Turkey doesn't know who they hate more Kurds or Isis Ford
The Turks have been engaged in active war with lersha Kurds since England left a void in ww2 fighting Germans. Now our NATO ally hates the Kurds doesn't like iran is fighting syria covertly and pissing off Russia. After we got them settled Saudis having a hard time with USA government.
