Now taco bell and KFC are lobbying for a piece of the food stamp pie. More obese welfare recipients is not the answer.

28 billion to 64 billion increase in food stamps from 2005 to 2010 That doesnt sound good.

Now I know why we dont have soup lines like in the great depression everyone just goes to KFC with their foodstamps.

Fuck this Im just going to quit my job and get foodstamps if I can eat at KFC everyday for free.

This is sad part of what happens in society when people cant find work in order to take care of themselves.

Why do you keep saying over and over again greedy union workers drove the jobs over seas?  Can you not understand, the companies were going to move the jobs over seas no matter what union workers would give up.
Why in the hell would a company pay any American even 5 bucks an hour when they can pay pay somebody 10 bucks a day with no benefits, pensions, vacations, sick days or anything. Is this really to hard for you to grasp?  You can keep saying it was greedy union workers, but the truth is, its greedy companies who moved the jobs, so they can fill their own damn pockets with more cash.
Only way companies would keep jobs here, is if workers were willing to work for the same wages people over seas would.  So tell me, is that what union workers should have done in order to keep jobs here?
I swear to God am gonna throw a block party and celebrate the day you lose your job to some guy over in India.

Its just impossible for any American worker to compete with people in other countries willing to work for slave wages, its just impossible and no matter how many times you keep saying unions did this, the truth is our people cant compete, unless you want our country to become basically a third world nation.
Theres only one solution to this mess, tax the companies and maybe they will decide its better to just bring the jobs back here, but if not, at least we will be collecting some money from these free loaders who you love so very much.

OPEC controls prices, along with the oil speculators who drive up prices, while not having to take control of one barrel of oil. Make those creeps have to buy ships and places to store the oil they speculate on and watch how fast prices drop.

Let me clue you in on a little fact.  All the people on welfare in the country probably doesnt cost the tax payer 10 percent of what corporate welfare costs the tax payer.  But hey keep going after the welfare person costing us chump change and look the other way at the corporations who are really costing the tax payers the big chunk of money.

Corporate welfare wins in a landslide, yet you right wingers dont say one word about that. Instead go after the people just trying to get by.

As far as food stamps go, there are too many people that take advantage of the system. People that have good jobs and have money but yet still are on food stamps. I saw a family that lived on 3 acres had over 100 K in cars in their driveway and 4 horses, yet they were on food stamps.

it happens more than you think jet.....but but but  that is okay with the left...nothing wrong with that...

like everything else...cut the loopholes is all we ask.....EVERYWHERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!

There are a lot people need the help and don't get enough. I know a lady in her 30's that is disabled (not capable of leaving her apartment) she only gets $65 a month in food stamps.

It is the people with kids that get $100's or even over $1,000 a month in food stamps. It is too easy, a man a woman have kids and don't get married. She is a Single Mom with no job, then the food stamp money starts rolling in, the more kids, the more money. Then Dad has plenty of extra money

First off am sure it does happen, because i hate to burst your bubble about the world, but cheating takes place eevryday somewhere in society, thats a friggin fact of life.   But heres the thing, guys like you make it like the majority of people on welfare have tons in the bank and are taking vacations all over the place, which is total bullshit, but you already know that.

I was taking my nap a little while ago and it hit me as to why you guys hate welfare people so much.

Its because welfare people are the people you run into in your daily lives.  Like when your in the grocery store and the person ahead of you is getting all his free groceries paid for with his welfare card, while you got to pull out the cash to pay for yours. It just pisses the hell out of you guys.
Why you dont get mad about about the corporate welfare scumbags who are fleecing the tax payers out of trillions, is because you arent going to run into these people in your daily lives, so you dont see the corporate welfare scumbags. You see your never gonna run into one of them in the yacht store buying a yacht with your tax dollars, because your not gonna be there in the first place.  So not seeing these corporate welfare scumbags in your own personal life first hand, you dont get mad about these thieves, instead you attack that regular welfare person who you do run into.

DL high oil prices made goods and services alot more expensive to provide which ultimately cost people jobs. Is that so hard to believe?

I know you believe that high pump prices caused alot of people to rethink/cut back on vacations etc....so why is it hard to believe that people wouldn't get their carpets cleaned less, hold off purchasing furnature or household items that aren't 'necessary'?

Stabilize gas prices around $2/gallon and you will see an increase in jobs, tax revenue, and overall non necessity item purchasing.

Seems like a no brainer to me
