It's not a matter of wanting to be lied to. Some things are just better left to the government in secret, like they always were. Otherwise it becomes a foreign relations nightmare. There is a thing called the geneva convention. Look it up. You say all major nations use torture, and while I agree with you, you can't definitively say they do because frankly you don't really know what the h3ll goes on behind closed doors in foreign countries. You assume. So while i'm not against torture in theory, my problem is more with our inability to keep our national secrets classified. There's always a whistle blower. Someone looking for 15 minutes of fame. There's always something. And like I said, if you're gonna torture someone, you better make sure they're atleast really guilty of a crime. You better have a smoking gun.

As far as abortion goes, don't even get me started. Dumbest argument ever. It's so weird, republicans are against stuff just because their party tells them to be. What is the issue with abortion. Half of these so called conservatives aren't even really religious. "You're killing innocent americans!" So let me get this straight. You're against all of these social sevice programs. Against welfare. Against universal healthcare, food stamps, free school lunches, ect. Some young mother makes the decision that she isn't ready to be a parent, that she's unable to... "Nope! You must keep that baby and raise it poor and malnourished!" Poor girl gets raped...by her father.... "You must keep your child/sibling and raise it without any assistance even though it'll probably have severe medical and mental issues because it fathered by a close family member!"
What possible grounds could you have to be against abortion?

I’m against most welfare because it’s been proven to be bad for the recipient.
I think every American should receive emergency care.
I think parents should provide food for their kids or provide money for their kids to eat. If that fails, I think charities should feed kids.
If you’re raped you should be allowed to have an abortion. Hell, I think abortion should be legal. But it should be known that you are taking a human life and the decision shouldn’t be taken lightly.
What grounds do I have to be against abortion? Umm, it’s an innocent life?

But ok, people aren’t strong enough to accept the facts of life. So we’ll just play a games, lie to each other so we feel morally superior and ponder how we can power the world using unicorn farts. That’s a brilliant and noble cause.

So you don't believe that governments function better when they're able to do things outside of the prying eyes of even it's own citizens. What the point in even having intelligence departments? We can just start crowd sourcing military strategy. How bout posting weapons designs on facebook. Do you really think we'll stop using torture just because we say we will? If you do, than you're an idiot. And you know we're cool so i'm not trying to insult you but you post things sometimes and one if left thinkinf, "What's the point." Do you have proof of all of those countries using torture or is it just assumption. If you have proof then you essentially proof my point. I think things work better when there is a veil of secrecy but we now live in an era where everyone things it's there right to know everything. Personally, I don't care if we torture some terrorist. I'm not squemish. I'm not sensitive. I just don't want to hear about it. Not because it bothers me but because it doesn't make strategic sense. Oh, for sure. Agree 100%. In fact, if Hillary would've nominated her everybody would be all "girl power". Trump puts her up and everyone is acting like she's Heinrich freakin' Himmler.
