He also gave his son's wedding planner a job, who was just some black chick. I'm willing to be critical of Trump, as I am with any politician, but I never thought he was racist. Not that this disproves he isn't, that's not my stance. And I believe his father was racist but i've known plenty of white people with racist fathers who weren't racist. Plenty of people of all races with racist fathers who aren't racist. If he was so racist, and this isn't a rant in support of Trump, but if he was so Racist we would've heard about it before 2015. We're talking about a man who has worn his thoughts on his sleeve for the past 40 years. Something i've asked many times is, "Where's the niggre tape? You mean we've got the puss grabber tape but no niggre tape?" Trump will forever bear the scarlet letter "R" because a certain segment of white america, white nationalist and supremacist, endorsed him. And he didn't say no. Doesn't mean he's racist, it means he wanted to win by any means neccesary. Plus if you know anything about Trump, he likes to be liked. To a fault. Just my observation.

Never understood why a candidate would even feel obligated to denounce it.  It should simply be understood that you don't have those views.  Like every time a terrorist attack happens all the world leaders clamor to 'strongly denounce' the act.  Why?  As if silence means you automatically support it?  Then if you don't denounce strongly enough, folks try to make it seem as if you really aren't sincere enough.  Crazy --- some things should just be automatically understood.

So much happens around the world everyday , It's impossible to comment on everything. Wild fires, mud slides, Will Ferrell in a car accident; where does it stop,

Yeah....crazy. What cracks me up is how people perform this whole, "Well there's no racism anymore. It's all in people's heads." song and dance, here on Covers.com of all places. The amount of sheer filth, the level of hate that used to be spewed on this site, and sometimes still is, is a snapshot of the way many Americans think. So yes, if you're receiving support from hate groups and white supremacist like no other candidate before you, maybe it doesn't hurt to simply say, "Yo, that's not me. I don't condone these groups and I denounce their support." And to not drag your feet about it. I personally don't feel he was/is racist per sé but I do believe he coveted the support of these groups.

Do you think they should have to? Is it ok for an American politician to be friendly with Farrakhan? 

I think if Farrakhan, and the nation, specifically endorsed a politician then yes, said politician should denounce said support.

Thank you for proving my point, Tox. Deflect. Make excuses. Since we're on the subject, I dare you to find any historical data to support there ever being a form of slavery as bad as it was here in America. I'm a history buff and i'll tell you, it's just not there. It'll become even more impossible if I said find an instance in the last 1000 years. Don't try to give me Aztecs sacrificing slaves to the gods because that's a joke. Even if you want to go all the way back in history to, say, the person in Egypt, if you did any real research you would find out that the image we have is a Hollywood dramatization. What else you got? The mongols? Ghengis Khan making bridges out of slaves? Try again. I'm guessing you'll go to the classic, "but Africans were involved in the slave trade too." This is true but grossly exaggerated. And even some of those who participated ended up as slaves themselves. Go ahead, Tox. Since your so steadfast. Find me some historical reference for a worse instance of slavery. We're not talking about warring tribes taking enemies in battle as slaves 2000 years ago. We're talking relatively modern, and "civilized" human beings going to a continent and plucking humans and one plucks fruit. I double f#cking dog dare you to find a comparison.

It's dumb because you can't. As always, you make statements and then back them up with pure conjecture. For historical perspective, most slave ships stopped in South America and the carribean first as a staging center of sorts. Then yes, some Africans remained in South America and the Caribbean as slaves while others continued to the United States. If you think only 5 percent of Africans brought to America in captivity, not counting those who died in passage, if you think only 5 percent came to the United States, you are the dumb one. Show me how dumb my post was. Back up your claims with facts. And your argument that, "It was just as bad in Brazil" is quite weak. And for the record, those were whites doing the tradibg as well. So give me another bullshite excuse. Remember, you're the one that brought up slavery. I've probably never been the one to bring up slavery in these threads.

I will back it all up in a post later when I get some free time. Your posts on the subject are laughable. 

I'm sure you will. You can find anything on the internet. Maybe try Bing instead of Google. Maybe Ask Jeeves. None of it will speak to my original statement that hiatorically, you can't find an instance of slavery worse than that of the Atlantic slave trade, either in heinousness or just pure scope. I said United States, I meant the Americas, that's a matter of semantics but whatever. You, as you always do when faced with something, changed the subject. Even bringing up the issue of slavery was you changing the subject. So when I then say, "Ok, point to an instance of Slavery that was worse " you again change the subject to how many slaves actually came to the U.S. as opposed to those who went to South America yet you've said nothing that speaks to my actual original question. You deflect, you make excuses, you change subjects, and you make random google searchs to back up your off topic statements. Those are all thr tricks you have in the dime store magic kit. And it's all getting very old.
