Barack Obama is a typical black person

The Imus thing really is frustrating with obama. Imus raised more money for sickle cell anemia research, a disease that only affects black people, then ANY senator or congressman. The only charity he gave more time and money to was his own, the IMUS ranch for terminally ill kids. The guy said something stupid about the rutgers team but he did not deserve to lose his job.  Especially when the al "tawana brawley"  sharptons and jesse "hymie town" jacksons are leading the charge.

So imus says something wrong, no question, and obama feels no forgiveness is acceptable, he feels this man should lose his career, a broadcaster for 40 years, a marconi award winner, a man who does so much work for sick children, and sickle cell anemia research, Sudden Infant Death Syndrome, etc etc This man should lose his career and in essence his identity, no forgiveness can be tolerated.

Yet his pastor can say things that  BY ALL ACCOUNTS make Imus' statements seem like NOTHING. Yet no blanket condemnation of his pastor. On the contrary he supports his pastor.

The double standards are frustrating but I do not try to change peoples minds. We are not 15 years old, we are not college freshmen, you are not going to convince me that double standards regarding race do not exist. Just like I am not going to be convinced that republicans are greedy and hate poor people and want to starve the middle class and poor.

you are confusing PC with double standards and racism.

I constantly say things on covers that aren't politically correct.

Many of the lower intelligence guys scream "that's racist...he should be banned"

I of course point out it ISN'T PC, but, it isn't racist.

Using the word "person" isn't PC, but, it isn't necessarily racist. It depends on context.

example:

I believe the OJ trial was lost, when the jury found out Mark Fuhrman used the word person on a regular basis.

In the above sentence, I used the "n" word, but, it certainly wasn't racist, and shouldn't be censored.

Now if I say " I agree with the KKK and all N****** are shiftless and lazy" I should immediately be branded a racist.....actually if I just say " I think all African-American people are shiftless and lazy" I am being racist.

Any time someone says "all people" are this way or that way....they are projecting a stereotype, and are being racist.

Just like saying "typical white person" is racist.

Obama needed to say "typical person" and leave out the color.
