Trump threat to attack Iran power plants could violate international law on war crimes. But Iran remains defiant. Unpopular, illegal and unnecessary war is escalating out of control. It could have been avoided if stupid Trump did not abandon Iran nuclear deal. Obviously, diplomacy is preferable to war.

It was money you had stolen in the 70s - if you had returned the money right after you stole them it would only amount to a few 100 millions - of course you can’t keep stolen money infinite (what signal would that send to people that planned investing in you as a country) - you should more question why Trump allow them to sell oil while you have an active conflict with them - if you want to talk about incompetence

Not sure what is worse...the constant lying politicians or those that feel the need to blindly support their side and debate why so and so is bad or why their politician is better than yours.....![]()

@ABooksNightmare
So do you keep intentionally ignoring the truth that the MONEY sent to them was money we did not return as per an agreement several decades ago? I guess the take part is USA USA USA but the give back part is THOSE NASTY DEMS are at it again.
Great logic.

video game became too time consuming, it was however a necessary distraction from the current theaters, Ukraine theater continues to be a blood bath, and the Iranian theater is about to become a wipe out event in my opinion... makes me reflect the good old days when we went in stopped Iraq in matter of weeks from seizing Kuwait do you understand, @ raiders...
much much different now.... be safe Sir hope you have a good Easter holiday weekend.....

in video game it became a matter of logistics.
as the damage delivered and my opponents ability to repair became a understandingbof how much damage versus how much left to be damaged to over come and continue until enemy surrendered....
where intelligence and directions of soldiers became necessary .... it was indeed fun but REALITY it wasn't full tilt and I wasn't winning anything real in terms of money so spending a full week of every waking moment became a huge direction of energy to end up the donkey in city 790 olol there a mayor race there and leans heavy China town a must prop bet I suppose so I voted for dream....

In response to the escalating tensions and security threats in the Middle East, India, Japan, Australia, Malaysia, South Korea, China, Thailand, and other countries have come together in a historic show of solidarity to coordinate large-scale emergency evacuation operations for their nationals stranded in the region. As geopolitical instability has caused widespread disruptions in travel and safety, these nations have leveraged their diplomatic ties and air transport networks to organize thousands of special repatriation flights through major airlines like Emirates, Air India, IndiGo, Etihad Airways, and others to bring their citizens home safely from high-risk locations including Qatar, UAE, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, and Kuwait

Israel said it killed the commander of Iran’s Revolutionary Guard navy, who was “directly responsible” for mining and blocking the Strait of Hormuz, in overnight strikes.
Meanwhile, Pakistan said the U.S. and Iran were engaged in indirect talks through messages it was relaying, and that Tehran was considering Washington’s proposals to end the conflict.
In a post on social media, President Trump said Iran’s leadership “better get serious soon” about talks. Trump, who has told associates that he wants the war brought to an end in the coming weeks, also said public statements from Iran’s leaders were different from their private comments.

General Mark Hertling warns Trump's decision to launch Iran is flawed. Leaving US and allies vulnerable in other battlefields across the globe. Probable outcome is a draw because there is no win-win scenario.

A draw
it's not a soccer match
The entire regime (head officials) are gone, most of IRGC, no navy, no airforce, citizens not bein massacred, well.kmown supporters of terrorists groups financially gone, etc....
But yea let's call it a draw....best draw I've ever seen...![]()

This is what one competitor would say:
A cautionary military perspective (valid and grounded in experience)
But also pessimistic and assumption-heavy
You can argue:
“Limited force without clear strategy leads to stalemate or worse.”
But counter it with:
“Limited force can achieve narrow, realistic objectives without full-scale war.”
So, basically:
Not proven ~ It assumes outcomes and constraints that may not hold
Incomplete ~ It downplays potential limited successes and strategic flexibility

@Raiders22
It is curious but predictable how you craft and shape a narrative and put someone down for doing the same. You say that your bolded view is valid and based on experience. That is a crafted manipulated statement completely void of context. You cannot use the term EXPERIENCE in an area where that is not true and is actually the opposite of your conclusion.
What he said especially for that region is completely factual and Iraq proves this point completely. This is a no-win situation because to WIN per your crafted experience response you have to either settle there and take over the government or destroy the millions of people living in the entire REGION that will make his conclusion come to fruition and that is a fact.
The US used your faulty logic as a tool to sell the Iraq invasion which was also based on lies and fraud just like this and we were all told that this would make the region better, more freedoms for citizens etc etc and even here on this site there was such nonsense thrown around. My position then was as it is with this now that in this region that bow tied happy endings narrative is completely impossible and what third above said is completely reality and did happen and will happen.
Trump is such a lesser intelligence than Obama or even Bush and Bush screwed Iraq up very badly and they still are a disaster as a country and the lives of citizens there is worse. Trump has no plan outside of 5 minutes that includes the commitment, funding and infrastructure to allow the make believe conclusion you are spinning to have a chance.
Why do you put down a conclusion that someone else made which is based on fact and reality we see NOW in that region and yet spin the same logic to craft a conclusion yourself?
What exactly is the valid experience we have in THAT REGION which makes your conclusion correct? There is none...

I am not sure exactly what you are referencing here?
What bolded view?
My experience about what?

Are you talking about Hertling’s experience?
I think that is a very valid way of putting his concern out there.
BUT if you have a problem with that, take it up with @thirdperson. He posted Hertling’s concern — not me.
I am not sure exactly why you would question his experience, or his opinion. Of course, it may be seen as manipulative. But so would the counter. That is sort of the whole point.
I posted the competition’s ‘supposed’ counter to it.

@Raiders22
My reply is you put down his reference using the same logic that his reply did. Your bolded is the words in your reply that were bolded. I am agreeing 100% with third because we have proof and experience to the very conclusion he is making. There is no win-win there and especially in that country. Ive stated so many times over the years that Iran is the last country in that region you would want to go to war with. Iraq was a soft target they were harmless and not nearly as aggressive and militarily prepared as Iran is.
Your reply makes assumptions based on non-valid and immaterial experience since we have absolutely no history of winning in that region. Iraq was not a win for the US and they were nothing like Iran. Winning does not mean you are NOT tucking tail like in Korea and Vietnam and Afghanistan, that is finalizing/ending a war and not admitting you lost. Iraq was a massive loss for the country and for the general population, it was based on lies and fraud so how can you win when you spin a war based on fraud?
The US military is not a football team who is getting in reps and playing scrimmages, our military has not been tested for war since Vietnam, we rely on our weapons advantage and our spend AND our ex-allies to support us as a united front. Trump wrecked that aspect and it is fortunate we are not engaging in a land battle as it would cost hundreds of thousands of lives and trillions in spend and we would likely not win in that region.
So what is your example of our experience that is pertinent to the region that refutes his contention that there is no win-win, I agree with him that this has no chance at winning let alone getting a return on our spend or the loss of life to the US and Iran.
