I'm not even fifty yet but in the last ten years I've hit two royal flushes both diamond's. Is that considered rare? The payoff wasn't that much for any of them though. Just a couple thousand each. I hit them at different places.

Oh.. they were at a real live table and not on a video poker game. When the flop came out it was like I had to let the other players bet and I just call them down until the end... The funnier thing was that three players called down to the river..lol I reraised after the river card showed. The guy after me knew better and mucked. The feeling of being in complete control is like no other though. It's pretty rare.

I got two Royal Flushes in about 10 days time playing online back in the mid 2000's.
My first Royal was live, when I was 17 years old, playing 7 card stud. Got in on the first 5 cards, diamonds, nearly garbage my pants. Barely knew what I was doing to begin with, let along with the ultimate nuts!! Unfortunately, sixth street was also a diamond for me so everyone figured me for a flush. One guy called to the river with two pair (I assume) trying to catch his boat, but didn't hit. When I flipped it up, my hands were shaking!!
It's my only live Royal to date, although I've had about 10-12 playing on-line over the years, including one that came on the board!!

I was playing in a home game in FL where a guy flopped a royal and then turned a straight flush in the same round. I don't know if I was more pissed or amazed.

I hit 7 royal flushes within 15 minutes of each other on party poker Just last November. Had about $10 left in my account. Played 10s or better 5 handed on 10c per hand which was a 50c bet. After about 5 mins hit a royal flush on one of the hands 1000-1. $100
Then upped the bets to 50c a hand for the 5 hands for $2.50. Less than 10 mins I FLOPPED 5 ROYAL FLUSHES !!! I just had to click the submit button and BOOM ....$2500. Withdrew $2000 and kept $500 for poker and sports betting. Quickest $2000 I made in my life.

It's funny how you will remember all the bad beats you lost, but almost can never remember the one's you cashed in on.

My poker playing is down to about 15-20 SNG's a week. I hadn't hit one in a long long time and then in the last week I've hit 2. The first one I actually flopped it. Neither paid much of anything.
