So just last night I have two more examples of my previous thread discussing why it is so common that I place one position out of the money.

I played two 8-person tourneys last night, both of which pay out for 1st and 2nd only. And both of which I finished 3rd of course.

I'll skip to the last hand in both cases:

    1st tourney:

I was 2nd in chips and went all-in holding pocket kings after the chip leader's raise pre-flop. My opponent turns over A-3 and of course he hits an Ace on the flop and knocks me out.

    2nd tourney:

I was 1st in chips and called an all-in holding A-Q. Opponent turns over K-9 and hits K on the flop. I also hit my Q but of course that didn't matter much. A couple hands later I'm 3rd in chips and go all-in after all cards on on the board. I had top pair (jacks) with Ace kicker and my opponent had just rivered two pair (3's and 4's i think). I have no idea why he was still in the hand as I had top pair throughout and we were betting fairly agressively throughout.

The percentage of time that I am finishing one position from the money is rediculous. I'd estimate it at 80% at least. I'm almost done with online poker.

Yesterday I had AK and my opponent had AQ flop is A77 we both go all in, and queen on the turn.  I lose, another hand I had 10 10 flop is 10 3 6, i checked, turn is a king, i bet he calls, river is a 9, both all in, he had QJ and beats me.   Oh yeah, this was a live game, don't think your dumb bad beats only happen in online poker

Once I had 10 10 vs. 5 5......flop came 2 5 5.........do you know what the turn and river were? Yep. You'd be lying if you said you didnt put bad beats on people and vice versa. It goes both ways. I used to complain a little bit but discipline and solid poker can relieve a ton of your anger.

BChadwick, even if you are playing perfect strategy and losing, ChanceP will ease your pain by telling one of his stories of glory when he easily led a multi-table tourney from start to finish.

    2 things:

    1) stop playing poker at sportsbook.com

    2) stop slow playing and getting mad when you get drawn out on.  You think the 3-4 guy would have called an all-in?

    3) I lied about there only being 2 things

    4) Stop whining and start winning

    5) There is no five.

I think he was okay; he was just too full of himself.  He stated a lot of his ridiculous theories as fact, and his ability to rationally argue a point was severely lacking.  He just was too naive, but seemed decent otherwise.
