I think the Yanks should go after Brett Myers. Once Pettitte comes back you can move Myers to the bullpen where he could help the team even more.

phils should have never let myers walk.  but, it's hard to trust an overweight wife beating fat boy.  he's pitching on a one year deal this season so that explains a lot

    I can't believe I won a week.

    5-3 baby!!!

And now JRoll is back on track with 2 steals tonight and 3 for the week (with only 1 hit )

2169 killed me by picking up Mazzaro but oh well. Great pitching week for me regardless.

It sucks that you crushed 2169 though because he's probably making it no matter what. I would have rather you beat bmt or jesron.

But he's doing his job...which would make a nice pickup. And he's an innings eater.

Personally...I'd rather have Haren because he's proven (albeit not having a great season) and he's on contract after this season. They wouldn't have to give up Montero for him because the DBacks have a catching Montero of their own. I wish the Yanks would go in that direction but they probably won't.

Sparky, Myers would be a great pickup right now. He is used to pressure.  He closed for us.  Haren has been puzzling this season.  Throws a lot of strikes and also almost always goes deep into games.  Something is obviously off for his ERA to be above 4, couldn't tell you what since like I said I dont see all of his starts, but he's a very solid pitcher.  He can also handle the bat amazingly well which obviously doesn't mean shit to an AL team but rumors were floating around a couple weeks ago about the Phillies potentially getting him.  I would be tickled pink if that panned out

I'm here and looking at it....but going off last month along....

giving up two closers to gain 4 runs, 1 RBI and 50 pts in AVG doesn't seem hardly worth it to me

Every time I watch a Haren start I say the Yanks should trade for him and let him be their DH on his off days. He's batting over .400 or something hitting I believe. Quite amazing.

I think the Phillies will get someone. I know they're still waiting out Happ but they should end up getting someone.

I don't know why teams aren't making any moves on Carmona. I keep hearing that teams "should" go after him but that's as far as the rumors have gotten. He's pitching very well. He consistantly is keeping the Indians just about every game he starts. He had a great 2007 season (which I'm sure the Yankees remember quite well), pitched poorly for 2 seasons then came got himself back on track this season. He's a sinkerball pitcher which fits perfectly in both Yankee Stadium and Citizens Bank. He doesn't have a large contract. And he's under control beyond this season. I'd love for the Yanks to get in on the mix with him.

Odds are though, if the Yanks get anyone, that it will be Ted Lilly as he's been there and done that before.

You need to go by historic numbers. Adrian has proved he can keep this pace up. So I don't exactly think it's fair to compare Santana/Adrian just yet.

dont gimme that shit sparky, yes i do think uribe and cargo will continue and yes cargo and morneau are the same player, stats are everything in fantasy on offense,  i could use target field as a reason not to want morneau also, but i dont..   suite urself, im good with my two guys...

depth?  are u kiddin'?  cargo is a starter on most teams and uribe is quietly having a better year then alot of the top SS guys out there...

    uribe: .289/11/42/33

hanley: .285/10/36/35   sb's are only diff.

jeter: .286/8/39/42    sb's are only diff.

    zobrist: .310/5/35/31/

u gotta stop with over-pricing guys,  people say Dunn isnt a good 1B guy cause he K's alot but he has his AVG up to .288 with 15 hr's and 36 rbi's/39 R's         morneau has way better AVG but dunn's other catagories are equal, i cant over-pay for him and i said i would give u a guy to make up his stats plus a Pitcher but thats not good enough, you think stats are meaningless in a game where stats are everything

That's from phillyfan. That's what I'm talking about. Uribe doesn't have a great past...and now look at him. He's not even worth starting (which is why he was looking for a SS to take his place).

I'm winning 5-0 this week because Roundin's pitching hasn't started yet.

Could you imagine being a Cubs fan tonight. How do you not just get up out of your seat and leave. Then what if you drove 3-5 hours away to catch the game tonight. What a nightmare

How did Nippert walk off? He's one strong MFer. Quite incredible that he sat up relatively quickly and then walked off under his own power.

He took it RIGHT in the temple. Flush. Ball went right out to left field. It was similar to Huff but Huff didn't take the pain as well. And...the ball was hit off the bat of Austin Jackson...not Alex Rodriguez.
