USA vs. BELGIUM WORLD CUP PLAY

Belgium totally outclassed the USA. Way too much home crowd hype led to underestimating the opponent. Brilliant defense by Belgium. 

Balogun had his suspension overturned. In soccer, this is absolutely ABSURD and RIDICULOUS. Here in Brazil, a lot of people who used to like the US rooted for Belgium because of this.

This was without a doubt the most ridiculous thing about the World Cup.

 Corrupt officials are the problem

I hate that FIFA chose the US as host country ! Because it makes you think we want you playing soccer or liking soccer ! We really don’t - you as a country represent everything that is wrong with “soccer” already - corruption, monetisation, ad campaigns etc. ! Soccer is our party and you have never been invited (unless we had to) and it was by design (having fans over there is of course cool and all - but as a country please stay the fuck out of this)

 Honestly , even here in US  I think it kind of skewed people's perception of the game a bit because it felt messed up had we won. It is not to say the officials / referees in sports are always right... but another country's president couldn't re-write the rules so why should we be able to ... Just seemed silly. And I did not agree with the red card to be brutally honest... but for us to get favoritism felt dirty.

You have to admit it is weird by FIFA - fans of soccer don’t want US suddenly becoming part of it (as a country) - it is like being forced to invite that weird uncle at your wedding - the one that tells stories about when he raped children and then when you tell him to shut up and not embarrass you infront of your cool friends - he pays you off to stay silent and pretend you like him 

I think everyone could agree that the red-card was not warranted..and I could look at hundreds of plays over the years where a foul or a red card was the wrong call. Or that a pass interference call or not called was clearly the wrong decision.  It's like that in all sports, mistakes are made by the officials.  The problem here is that the leader of the host nation of this tournament stepped in and meddled with things like a kid throwing a tantrum. (he does this with a lot of things) Dumbo didn't even know what a red card was!!!!!!!!!! can you believe that shite?? and he takes it upon himself to call the principal and demand that this injustice is fixed.  Does anyone think that FIFA would have overturned that call if Trump had not called??      IF they had any class they would not have played him at all.
