I would probably just yell “Take me mr. Obama the last true president” for the fun of it to be honest - to see what the old man would do about it

I would like to see Trumps reaction to me calling him Obama or yeah as you say if we made it a weekly occurrence I would probably also throw a Biden in there once in a while to fuck with Trumps brain - this actually sounds like so much fun I might even do this just for the fun rather being gay or not - Americans in prison or in the army (which is most of you) have also gay encounters - so I could do this - for the amusement of the world tbh - and how big can it even be - when he is that fat

Egg prices fall to pre-2025 levels: The average cost of a dozen eggs this week was $3.64 per dozen, down $0.65 in the last two weeks (-15%). In-store egg prices are now down 33.9% since reaching a high in March.

This descriptive homophobic garbage some of you have been droning on about has its limits even in the penalty box, grow up and quit being childish dopes. What is very interesting is you get to see the true identity of someone when there is the opportunity to be disgusting, the person who will take that opportunity and even go to extreme lengths that is the true tell of their character.
What a pathetic mess some of these threads and comments are, there is no real purpose for posting abhorrent trash like this thread and why some of you would repeatedly do this is quite disgusting.

You might want to look at your own "independent source" on egg prices further. Large Grade A dozen eggs (which is what customers generally buy) the latest report is $5.12 per dozen. (April 2025). May report not out yet. This is the exact same number reported by the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics for the same time period.
https://data.bls.gov/timeseries/APU0000708111 (U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics)
You might want to scroll down on your own link you provided as well. At the very bottom of the chart see the text " The egg prices refer to the national FOB average prices of white large eggs in wholesale markets, calculated based on the cost of 30-dozen cases of caged shell eggs."
This is the wholesale price of eggs paid by the retailer (Grocery Store or Costco) by the truckload. This is NOT the price we as American consumers pay at the grocery store. The report links I attached are actually what we pay. So your chart has no relevance to what we are paying as consumers at the grocery store. Nice effort though. You tried the good old Trump tactic of using wholesale prices, which customers do not pay, unless you own the grocery store. I would attach pictures of egg prices at local Safeway here from last week but this site does not allow it. All dozen eggs were actually higher than the national average for April, so right on par with the data. Lastly, American Presidents do not do anything to control egg prices. Legitimately, nothing.

Here are some viewer links at local Safeway here in Phoenix from last week. You can zoom in on image too and look at bottom of yellow tag (Prices good through June 24) to see the prices are current. Right on par with information on dozen large grade eggs from your source Trading Economics and Bureau of Labor Statistics. Do you have any pictures or receipts of dozen eggs at local grocery chains in your city showing those wholesale prices for eggs you are paying at the store? You are right statistics do not lie, you just have ensure you are using the relevant data.

Reality time, Port Huron Michigan. Had to be stateside for a meeting this morning and went to a Meijers on the main drag after. They sell gas at the front of their parking lot, 12 pumps with a nice setup. 3.09 a US gallon for 87 octane and premium was 4.27 @93 octane. Parked and wandered into the store, huge I might add and headed to the dairy section. Dozen large browns were 4.85$ and free range were priced @ 9.29. May 28th @ 11:30 am. Hope this helps in your discussion but to my way of thinking there is a whole lot more to worry about than this.

In reality this is not what happened..
I was the one who called for a STOP in the descriptive comments ..in post #30..and brought my thread back to the thread topic post #32 ... However,he continued on..post #31... as his goal was to disrupt and hijack the thread.. .as it appears is his goal,in many of my threads.

Yessir. You are correct that the cities, grade of eggs, and markup all matter.
I was simply pointing out to him that by the tracking measure that is used the prices have come way down from the high. So, yes what you showed and what he bought may not be the exact ones being tracked. However, now you have to KNOW for certain the EXACT price of what you were paying at that EXACT store for that EXACT grade of egg on EXACTLY a year ago, in order to make the EXACT comparison that the link and chart were making.
You are very correct that you may buy cheaper or more expensive eggs than the AVERAGE egg they are measuring.
But to infer the prices have not come down or to imply that yours are more expensive than they were, you have to have all things you are comparing equal.
The same goes for gasoline and other things. You want to make sure you are always comparing the same things. I cannot compare a higher grade than you are using and have it be fair. I also cannot compare a cheaper place I am a member at to get a discount to somewhere you go that randomly charges a bit more on average. That is why an aggregate amount of data is compiled and used to sample it as a whole and come up with a ‘number’ to use for comparison with, say, a year ago.

It was you that started with some personal attacks and of course it was you that stopped it as well I just said my goal was for you to shut up and stay on topic and it worked
My goal ? I always starts answering on topic and then you either turn it into a discussion of me being Danish or me being weird or gay - and then I just take you for a dance in insults (or as here insults of Trump)

Thanks for posting the links. I could not get the second one to open. But I trust you on your prices locally. No, I cannot compare where I am because it is not fair or consistent. For example, folks here were talking about it a few months ago. When the price was over $8 in the USA, the prices here were still around $2 or so.
That is why I say you have to ‘trust’ the data from the studies more than folks’s anecdotal prices at a local level.
So, you are correct that you have to make sure you are ‘comparing relevant data’. But that is the same with anything you are comparing. Gas is always a good example. Some states impose higher taxes and some are easier to get the gas to. So, you have to use an overall ‘average’ number.

Thanks for the update. Sadly, I don’t grocery shop a lot expect for fruits and vegetables to snack on. But is that price deferential normal there? I know free range is more expensive— but double?
Just like I know organic fruits are far more expensive— but not quite double.

Yes people believe the prices a website tells you and not the price you are asked to pay in the store :) Hehe hear yourself man

Read it a bit closer and maybe you can understand what it says. You are comparing anecdotal and isolated examples against an overall average number when you do it that way. Then when you ‘compare’ it to what you ‘recall’ paying last year it may or may not be correct. Whatever the ‘accurate’ number for the average price of anything is—some will pay more and some will pay less, just by the very definition of average. Even in certain areas egg prices may NOT be coming down yet. BUT the overall ‘average’ nationwide is. The same for gas or anything else. Local prices are not always in line with national prices. This is not that hard to understand and with your background you should easily grasp it; it actually works the same way in most countries where something does not have a price ‘set’ nationally.

I do understand that - but if you want to see if Trump is doing a good job or not - you are taking the price you paid in LA or whatever before he came into office and after for the same item
It isn’t my fault you can’t remember what you paid 6 months ago
btw as my first post said if gasoline prices is falling it is more often a bad sign than a good one for an economy
and you can’t really use the egg prices to be honest - cause the rise and fall in price with those was mostly due to a flu with the hens

Well if you can’t remember what you paid in LA a year ago how would you know?
I didn’t use egg prices. I was simply using it because that it what he was talking about. But sure, you can use whatever you want to use if it affects you. People spend a lot on food and eggs are a big part of that. So if egg prices are going up and not down, it does not matter if it is avian flu or not. People will be upset with who is in charge, period.
