PROOF THE NFL IS RIGGED

PROOF: Rams vs. Giants game just now. It was 4th and 20 and Rams had the ball down big with 1:30 to go in the game. Why the hell would you punt it? Even if you turn it over on downs, the Giants kneel the clock out once they get it back, or they score. You lose for sure if you punt. You still have a chance (although small but still a chance) if you go for it!

Just be glad it was a push. You'll get it next time.

I can only feel for O 44.5 or O 45 backers. I think it jumped to 45 an hour before kickoff. Quite bullshit if you ask me still though. I definitely smell something fishy!

couldnt agree more. they didnt want that score to come off 44 points, no way no how.

Even if its 4th and 40, you still have to go for it because you never know what could happen. You could get a penalty and the drive stays alive.
All these sports are so rigged, but by tomorrow people will have forgotten about this and the leagues know this about people.

Likewise. The more important question is, why would the Giants not take a FG to go up by 15 when their kicker is averaging 46.8 yards?

The public was on the Giants HUGE. Not sure what you think is fishy about it.

My book had it at 43 just before kick off.

I was actually wondering why that wasn't an option myself.

Rams had no timeouts to justify punting also.

worse case scenario for the books... all teasers won, public fav won, and many people had totals of over 43.5 and under 44.5 or pushed on 44

Kicking the FG was not an option

I had under 44.5 so I lucked out. I do understand the Giants not kicking a FG but do not understand why the Rams would punt knowing there was no chance to get the ball back. I have seen stranger things than a team coming back from 12 down with 1:30 left...didn't make sense...

Not to mention, you risk a fumble recovery TD.

You really believe the proper call is to punt? And why would that be wise one?

How about if the rams go for it and they get a penalty down filed, the game still goes on and they could have a chance to win.

So in other words giving up is the right call? Sure hope you never have kids, because you would probably tell them to be quitters.

•  this is what (bad) coaches do, instead of doing the right thing and going for it, they preserve the margin so that they are judged in retrospect to have lost closer than they really did.
• the Football Gods will punish them and punish them hard. It's the same concept as punting on 4th and short from the opponents field position. Any team that does that during the course of a game will eventually lose the game for being big chickens.
