It's true you can't change the past, but you can learn from it.  That game was very strange and it was made in a way that the only thing affected was the POINT SPREAD.  We should all learn something from this before we just simply "Move On"



Just like you can't look at your buddy the same way anymore, you shouldn't be able to look at the NFL the same either until a  good explanation is given.     Or the truth be told, NFL games are no different than the WWF.

  I can tell you that i have personally spoke with people from SportsInsights and they are legit.  It is another tool and a very useful one.  In no way am I promoting them, I have just found the numbers to be very useful over the years.  If you can watch where the big money is going, in real time, and have a detailed summary of the line movements with the exact time, along with the % of bets on the spread, ML, parlay, and O/U - well those numbers come in handy for me...

Did all these PITT backers really feel you were on the right side of this game till the last second? I mean you werent covering all game and then you were and then you werent so now you are angry- This isnt about the refs fucking up its about losing money- I guess if i had PITT i would have been pissed off also but i when i see snow in a must win game for a team i always take the points- Again the call was terrible, but it's time to move on-

Sorry but telling people to get over it about this game is nothing like your wife telling you to get over it after she cheated on you. The NFL DOES NOT LOVE YOU. Your wife is supposed to love unless she married you for your money, in which case she is out cheating anyways. People are only telling you to get over it because we are tired of seeing threads related to the situation. It will never be changed so it no longer matters. SO again get over it and move on.

I agree cause i lost on the 2nd half bet in that game, but put focus on the upcoming games and win your money back, nothing anyone can do about it.

The truth is the play should have never happened in the first place- look at it that way...Then move on!

I will move on when they officially change the final score and I get my money back. If they know they made a mistake, then change the score back to what it should be and credit Polimalu with a fumble recovery and a touchdown.

Everybody here has gotten a bad beat before.  Believe it or not, some a lot worse then this that not only changed the outcome of of a spread, but also the O/U and who won the game based on bad refs.

Bad beat stories in sports is just like bad beat stories in poker... nobody cares.

Anyone who discredits the possibility of "fixed" games in the NFL after this game is in denial.  Why waste so much time at the end of the game if it didn't matter?  I mean they called it a TD on the field, challenged it to call it a TD again, and then AGAIN challenged only to mysteriously overturn.  IMO, it would have been easiest to just let it stand.


The NFL has already proven the players don't play for the love of the game, it's played for the biggest paycheck.  Individuals will sell out their team if it means getting a few more bucks.  Take Jamarcus Russel for example.  



Now, these Ref's have hard decisions to make.. Someone offers them $1,000,000.00  cash to make a couple bogus calls so a team can cover a spread, what are they to do?  Sure most of them will say no, but it only takes one to accept.  For the people offering them the money, 1 million is only 1 percent of the 100 Million wagered on the game.   Money makes the world go round, and as gamblers, we all know this.

Points scored is a tie break for the playoffs.  That is why they spent time on it

You obviously don't get it, so I will define you as Ignorant.  It's not about the loss, or bad beat, whatever you want to call it.  It's about the possibility that the NFL has fixed results. 

You want to use poker as an example but the example you use is wrong.  It would be more like the dealer rigged the deck before he shuffled the cards so that his buddy would crack your AA and then split the money afterwards. 


Yes bad beats do happen, it's in the ODDs to happen.  But a rigged deck has no odds, it's 100 % certain of what will happen.

You're missing the point.


You don't just "move on" with your wife.. Something has to change before you do, whether it's divorcing her completely, or just watching her more closely because you know you cannot trust her anymore.


What do we do with the NFL now?  Just "move on", pretend Will Smith from MIB gave us a red flash and we just forget all about it.  If  we do move on without a solution to the past, than we're fools and our wife will just continue cheating on us.

I took a bad hit on that game too, but I offer this much: Get your "google" on, and search "NFL fixed".
After just a little reading you will probably feel a miriad of emotions. There is a long documented history. 
After some reflection, I realized that I knew. It goes back to that old addage your father gave you, and you will give to your son:
"Life isn't fair."
I say this as a life long Steeler fan that was raised in the "bookie joint":
Moving on and getting over it are the only things you can do. If you are going to be successful at wagering you cannot keep the emotions given by sour grapes. Looking back and harboring anger will only produce further losses.
If you don't already know this much, why are you wagering in the first place?

Bling:  It's not much but I haven't bet since Sunday Night, and for the record I did not bet Pitt/SD, but I feel for those who did. .I refused to bet MNF, even though I liked the OVER and was pissed I would have won.  I won't bet tonight or this sunday.


    It's really hard for me not to bet, especially since I would say I am a bit addicted to NFL gambling, but if this is not enough to open my eyes to the possibility of fixed outcomes, than nothing ever will.

You are aware that the NFL is going to award the Steelers 6 extra points if the tie-breaker does occur right? 


They flat out admitted 30 minutes after the game the TD should have counted, but they will not change the score. 


This only hurts people who wagered on the game period.  The time spent was strictly for Millions of dollars in gambling money.

Please, there was no FIX. Steelers didn't play well and they didn't cover. I'm sure Troy Polamalu was in on the fix too...he had to break up that play and then pick it up and run it in. I think, Vegas and the REFS scripted this one well. I mean, damn, they even waited to the last seconds. Not, only that but the called on holding the Steelers 3rd down play on the previous possession when in fact there was holding...they could have "wink wink" missed that call and made it an wasy cover for the Steelers but instead they want to wait for the Chargers to get the ball and start tossing it around and then act like they dont know the rules..DAMN they are good!
