I place these bets at 2 books, so if I put a half unit on the play, it is half at each book, and I just post the better line here (which is almost always Lowvig).  Occasionally the line is so different that I just put the entire play at Lowvig, but I keep most plays with the local too.  I also try not to take his head off, since he has already slow-paid me a couple of times.  Like Lowvig a lot.....they release the next days lines early.....good little book.  Not a very flashy fancy book.....but they just have such solid numbers.

 Bro!  I know.  If I didn't look at their terrible team average vs lefties I would have never made the bet.  My gut told me from the start that it was a no play, but I talked myself into it.  Baseball betting is so finicky that I try to not allow single stats to influence me, because in most games, and with the overkill of info that is available now, you can easily find a stat to back up terrible ideas 

They actually had bases loaded in the 9th down 4, thought some magic was about to happen.  Oh well onto the next one.

for a minute I took a break from keeping a record and honestly went like 17-4, then picked it back up again.  This record would be even more ridiculous if I had all that documented.  Sometimes I get sidetracked and forget shit.  Like the Mets couple nights ago.  Weeks of 50-55% capping will probably come.  I am just hot lately.  It's baseball.  Sticky Tabs.

Interesting stat/trend I just came across:

Since 2019...in Chris Bassitt starts where his team was road chalk of -120 or more........which has happened 24 times........his teams (Oakland/Mets/Jays) went 23-1.

Today he starts for the Jays in Detroit at between -125/-135 odds depending on book.  

The Jays were actually the first team I bet for today, bet it last night when Lowvig released it.  Stats/trends are only so reliable, but it sure makes me like it even more now. 23-1 in the last 24 times is a pretty amazing hit %.   

Coming off a no hit game, against Detroit, after they rally behind Manoah and hang 12 on the Tigers on Friday, I gotta believe they come into this game trying to go into the break on a good note.  We shall see.  This Jays team is really the ultimate Jekyll and Hyde squad.  They almost ALWAYS look good on paper.  It feels like they know they can turn it on and they get complacent.  Kinda like the Padres.  Still only gonna play 1 unit between both books on the game, because ya just can't trust these bets and Mickey Mantle doesn't pay the rent.
