Mets on 4 game streak.....might start gettin hot.  Might get some short lines on them too considering recent performance.  Few days ago I went a little big on them in that home game vs Giants before travel day.  Almost pulled trigger last night.

Speaking of minor leagues:

my local started offering minor league games to bet on.  I wish I could screen shot the lines they offered on June 25th on 3 games:

First game  fave was -382, but the dog was only +134

In that same game the total was 11.5............the over was -165 and the under was -150

2nd game:

fave -227, dog was -111.  I shit you not.  the dog was -111.  In that game the total was also 11.5, over was -175, under was -145

game 3: chalk -341, dog +124.  total was 14. over -185, under -135

I somehow found the self control to resist these wagers, although nothing would make me happier than really smoking him on stuff this crooked.

I took a picture of it from my phone and made it my wallpaper.  

The old wallpaper was the picture from Goodfellas that Joe Pesci's character's mom (Scorcese's mom in real life) shows Deniro, Pesci, and Liotta at the table when they have Billy Bats in the trunk and they stop by to get a knife and his mom cooks them breakfast.

This is real nerdy shit.........but I actually have a copy of the 1978 National Geographic that Scorsese got that picture out of.  It was a spread about rivers in Ireland.  That guy in the picture's name was John Weaving, and he used to live in a houseboat on the Shannon River, and those 2 dogs are actually his dogs.  Their names were Brock and Twiggy.

Nick Pileggi's mom actually painted it.  He was a writer for the movie.

I am on the Mets ML @ +122, even mentioned them before with monte, but forgot to post it, so I will not count it if they win.  Currently up 7-0.  This game was a perfect example of them being given a good line based on recent underperforming in my opinion.  Who knows, maybe they blow it and the snakes come back, but either way I will not count it.    Almost pulled the trigger on a F7 bet -0.5 at decent odds when they were up 2-0 but left it alone.  Greed kills.
