and look, i am a dickhead, and honestly am not looking to pick a fight, BUT do some research yourself on SSRI's.  After reading some studies on other drugs vs placebos years back, i became very anti any drug that the fda approves and the pharma industry touts and the doctors person themselves out with.  I'm honestly happy for you if they work for you and there was no alternative,,,,,,just wondering if you have read any of the info thats out there about the negative effects of drugs like SSRI's

So was I.....for about 4 years.  Until I couldn't even drive to the hospital to pick up my dad....I had to pull over and call my sister to go get him because I thought I was going to die.

I've been high...and I've been on anti-anxiety medication.  The two aren't even in the same zip code as far as how they make you feel.  Not even close. 

I'll take my chances, thank you.  Live my life where I can't even drive downtown to pick up my dad aint exactly living IMO. 

It's funny how people will take a drug to cure an infection without question....how is anxiety or depression different?  For some, medication doesn't work so well.  For me, my sister, and my mom, it has saved our lives.  Sorry you don't feel so good about that. 

And feel free to present the EMPIRICAL evidence as to how anti-anxiety drugs fry your brain. 

BTW, I have a friend who is a black belt....who performs in 3 round fights regularly.  Pretty much as disciplined and tough as anyone I know.  He USED to be a mind over matter guy too.  He was the one who convinced me to give medication a try. 

What you're missing be, is that I'm not giving anyone shit for smoking pot per se.  But I will give someone shit for getting high and then making idiotic posts. 

Did I mention that your AL Cy Young winner struggled with anxiety/depression....pretty much almost ruined his career....and his life.   mind over matter
