They also called a questionable holding call that wiped out a TD

BGSU under 34.5 was a hilarious fix. I called Under winning, but not the way it happened. If I had bet the over there, I would have been fuming with how it happened.

Matt Johnson looked completely apathetic. I'm telling you, some of these NCAA players are getting paid off. It's a matter of whether the coach notices and can bench them in time like the WMU coach did with his paid off RB in this game.

I'll do you 2 a favor and explain football to you.

It does NOT matter if a defender is out of bounds and touches a ball carrier or the football. If there is a change of possession then it matters where the defender is. He was out of bounds when he initially touched the ball carried but had gotten his feet back in bounds when he stripped it.

All that is necessary is the defender re-establish in the field of play. A defender only needs to have 1 foot back in play to be considered live, unlike an offensive player that must have 2 feet back in bounds if he goes out of bounds.

Holding call after TD was scored. Then defender had 1 foot out of bounds while stripping the ball to cause fumble.

Then they take 10 minutes to review fumble. WOW.

2nd half please let them score 50 points or OVERTIME, because I just want to see how many different ways they can fix this game.

So let me get this right...According to your brilliant analysis, both teams and the ref are in on the fix?
I think the fans in the stands are in on it to...

Gambling probably isn't 4 u if your conspiracies surface before the outcome of the game..( 1st Q )..

Do yourself a favor... and get

Youre joking right?

Then why if a defender is out of bounds recovering a fumble, it will not be a recovery?

If the ball is on the ground, and a player dives for it, but his foot or hand is out-of-bounds when he recovers it...it wont be a recovery.

The defender was out-of-bounds touching the ball.  It should have been called out-of-bounds since he caused the fumble.

Did you see the coach for MTSU? The bald guy who looks like Jim Caldwell. That's why. Coaches like that aren't known for having good football IQ. Just look at Mike Tomlin with the Steelers how he always goes for 2 even though he has NFL kickers on his roster. He only does that because he probably used to do it when he was playing Madden with his friends in the ghetto.

Agreed

Even if the defender reestablished in bounds before the fumble happened, at the very least the defender touched the ball while out of bounds.  That would be a penalty and everything that happened after would be negated

So, what would have happened, had the defender who was out of bounds who caused the fumble, stripped it clean while he was out of bounds?  Would it have been WMU ball?  No because he was out of bounds

But, he can be touching the ball, cause a fumble OUT OF BOUNDS and still recover it because it was in the field of play?  If that is the rule, then yes, I didnt know that, and that is a terrible rule!!!

You sound really sure about it but I think you are mistaken

Please post the rule that says a defender out of bounds can touch the ball or make a play while out of bounds.  The only rule I have come across is:

-ENTERING THE FIELD OF PLAY

A player may not run out of bounds and then run back inbounds to make a play. For example, a receiver may not run down the sidelines, step out of bounds and make a catch. If a player makes a catch under those circumstances, a penalty flag is thrown for illegal touching. However, if the player is shoved out of bounds by a defensive player and then gets back inbounds as quickly as possible, the illegal touching penalty flag is not thrown, and the catch can be ruled as legal by the officials.

Notice it says "player", not just "receiver" or "offensive player"

I will accept nudes of the girl in your avatar as an apology

More and more this doesnt make sense...if the ball is rolling out of bounds and a player tries to save it but touches the sideline the ball is dead...

On a punt, if a defender is trying to avoid a touchback, but touches the goaline...its a touchback

All the same principle...the player was touching the ball while out-of-bounds...he simply cant touch it again even if he restablishes himself...the ball should have been dead.

lmao, like I said, the change of possession didn't occur until the defender had gotten 1 foot back in play. It's a legal play

I know you guys want to pretend that it was a fix or that you know more about the rules than the officials do but you don't.

I don't know of anyway to explain the rules to you guys any better than what I did. If you chose to keep your tinfoil hat on, power to ya pals.

Once again you are wrong kid. A player can be in the endzone if he is downing a punt, the only thing that matters is the ball doesn't cross the goal line.....lol

So, you are telling me, on a punt...if a player runs into the endzone, turns around and stops before the goaline(still in the endzone)...turns around and stops the ball just before the goalline..it wont be a touchback?

Well, Ive made thousands of bets in 15 years of pro and college football....and ive NEVER seen a player who was out-of-bounds cause a fumble, who was out-of-bounds touching the ball...recover the fumble...

I guess there is a first for everything
